In one summer, I went from no watches to 5 Casios, from an AE1200 to a Casioak, from a Lineage M100 to an Oceanus T200, and my venerable blue Duro. And you, sir, and your videos and commentary have been there the whole way! Thanks for being awesome!!
I think I generally prefer the plainer A500wa world time, the module without the faceplate at 5:38 looks really sweet to me. That’s a mod I could get behind.
This mod looks fantastic! I’ve always wanted Casio to make a full metal Casio AE1200 and now that’s possible. When you consider the prices of the metal gshocks, just over $100-$120 is a great price for this watch and probably what Casio would price it at if they made it.
Love it. They should either improve their bracelets or have the option of an fkm rubber strap, would be such a nice upgrade to the usual resin straps, always the first point of failure on the cheap casios.
Hi Jody - Love these mod vids. Given the feature set, battery life and sheer coolness - The royale is most definitely worth the case mod - keeping the resin band keeps it grounded!
Hi Jody, well this was a fun vid, for both you and us. Isn't it amazing how much functionality Casio put into even their most inexpensive watches. I think that the original has an interesting dial layout, relatively uncluttered and is quite legible. 10 year battery - c'mon, for that price! Cheers mate.
THank you Jody for always reviewing affordable but amazing watches. Shows that people dont have to spend a lot of money to have a good watch collection!
Hi Jody! Been subscribed for I don't even know how long, and I can't help liking this video. What a great modification for a fantastic watch. I love what this kit does for arguably one of my favorite watches. It doesn't stray too far from the original, except to clean it up and make it look like it should have been this way all along. I've had my eye on doing something like this to one of my 1200s for a while, but the finances just never quite seem to allow it. Anyway, as usual, great vid, great presentation and a great modification to give away to two lucky subscribers!
Congratulations mate! You win the first of the two watch + mod kit combos! Please reply to this message and send me an email to jody@justonemorewatch.com
@@JustOneMoreWatch Hi Jody! Thank you tons! I can't remember the last time I actually won anything, so I'm totally excited about this! Thank you again!
This is an awesome mod. Would love to see a showdown between this and the kranio design case for the title of ultimate mod. It's more expensive but looks like a one man team making them. The white cerakote one looks incredible!
I think doing a filter mod is much better for this watch. The skxmod is just taking it to an unnecessary level for what the ae1200 is. The charm and appeal of the 1200 is how light it is, and it's a knock around watch. Adding the mod case I feel takes that feel away from it.
I recently bought an ae1300. I have loved using it. The big world map on the 1200 never really appealed that much to me. I recently scratched the plastic crystal while moving some furniture. I have some polywatch but it would be so reassuring not having to worry about that.
I have a Casio Royale myself, not modded. Yet. Thinking more and more about it, specially the metal case and, while it is open, to take out some of the unnecessary writing.
Another great vid! I found two of these at my local Walmart got less than $20 each. Bought them both, kept the “metal” and gifted the resin. Love it! Thanks Jody!
Hi Jody. Great video as usual. It was you that got me to buy my own AE1200 a year ago with one of your vids. It is my weekend watch and goes with me whenever I travel as my casual piece. And you also got me into Pagani. Just picked up the moon watch homage - the correct one - and love it. Keep up the great work for those of us who don’t have Rolex money.
This a cool idea! Especially like that black with gold pushers, hella snazzy. Love the AE1200, though I'm yet to pick one up - the cheapest I've seen in South Africa is around $45 equivalent. Didn't even know you could get 'em for less.
I started watching this channel while I was on the hunt for a cheap and cheerful Casio - I'm now a confirmed watch nerd based mostly on your contagious enthusiasm and reviews!
I bought a Casio Casino Royale on your recommendation, having always loved the original Seiko. I love it ! I wear it more than my Tissot T touch and Casio "Blue Angel " Chronograph.
I've been thinking about buying a Casio for a long time, but I could never decide on one. With the new mods, the decision is not easier, but more detailed. Thanks for the video
Great job Jody. I do love the retro look of Casio digital watches, bought a wee £19 one with the silver finish for that authentic retro look. Would love a proper all metal Casio, I recon that would be the 'dogs danglies'
Man I wear my ae1200 with metal looking case almost everyday, and my only complaint is the case. This is a affordable mod that I will be doing. Awesome work.
purely by coincidence this week I've been looking into acquiring this exact watch in order to a mod. I was thinking hydro or negative display so would love to get my hands on one of these... Thanks Jody!
I love my apparently rose gold (I thought it was more bronze-y) and black version. I wish the bracelet was better, as I’m not super fond of the Casio rubber straps, so that would be an important piece of the mod for me.
I love my humble little Casio Royale for how much it looks like that one Seiko that Roger Moore wore once (I think the same watch as featured in Metal Gear Solid 5.) Would love to give one a new suit up! That black and gold really is a stunner.
Brilliant mod, I’ve never heard of this company and will go and have a look at their site as soon as I’ve finished here. The black looks really classy. Greetings from Cumbria in the U.K. Stay safe and well.
That’s a really cool watch. Loved the video. I’ve never had a Casio but this looks like something I’ll be adding to the collection. The mod really makes a big difference.
This watch and upgrade kit is the most terrific set I have ever seen, let alone the price!!! The excellent presentation put it all in perspective and I see no reason at all why anyone should not buy one.
The Royale is cool as it is but a metal case would make it even cooler. I've already damaded the rear of the plastic case on mine from constantly swapping out straps. The all black with bracelet looks good awesome imo 👍🏼
I did used to have one of these stock models, but I gave it to my grandad. It would be great to get another improved version on the wrist! Cheers for the opportunity Jody

I modded my Royale with a SKX silver & black sterile case and added a Vario oiled leather graphite black strap. The Mods cost approx £100 in total and the watch looks and feels AMAZING!
One thing mod videos for the Royale don't touch on is the difference the face plate can make between models. This bronze bezel one has very subdued lettering (apart from the Casio brand name) which adds to the pleasing finished result of this mod. I doubt it would have looked so good with the standard black resin face plate, with the red "10 Year Battery" lettering. The green bezel one has subdued gold lettering, which you could utilise to get another look altogether.
Hi Jody, I like the quality and ease of those mod kits. The Casio I have been wearing the most is a WV-59 vintage Wave Ceptor. I enjoy the boxy, DeLorean vibe I get from it.
Interesting to hear what happened with the bracelet screws. I’m a jeweler and I’ve sized countless bracelets and never had that happen. Must have had some manufacturing defects.

This is truly fantastic! Only wish Casio themselves made a higher end all metal digital watch that was not as big and bulky as the g-shocks.

Great content as usual Jody, thank you. Any luck finding a ceramic green bezel insert for the Loreo Subby?
One thing mod videos for the Royale don't touch on is the difference the face plate can make between models. This bronze bezel one has very subdued lettering (apart from the Casio brand name) which adds to the pleasing finished result of this mod. I doubt it would have looked so good with the standard black resin face plate, with the red "10 Year Battery" lettering. The green bezel one has subdued gold lettering, which you could utilise to get another look altogether.

The Casio Royale with Black IP coated metal case would be nice.
Does the sapphire crystal has anti-reflection coating?
Very cool mods! Having a sapphire crystal would be great. I lost count on how many times I’ve used polywatch on my AE1200.
I'd love to do the bronze mod kit on mine, but the kit starts at $220. I may have to just buy the $30 bronze-ish Royale and swap the strap.
I only just started getting into watches and I only own a casio royale, I love it and I think it's a good start to a collection.
