I think the 1st nail in Eternals coffin was Louise leaving because she was Kellys friend, and I think that was what set up the whole sisters vs Kelly thing. Plus, if I remember correctly Eternal started off as Esther and Vernie to begin with, so I can also see Kelly feeling like the 3rd wheel and saying shell stay for money etc. I just dont think the sisters and Kelle really like each other. Such a shame because they were so good. They only lasted for one single in America (Stay) but I bought their first album and they dissapeared from our shores completely after that.
They had 2 American releases I think. I remember the Stay because they played it on VH1 MTV BET I was like 15 or 16 at the time It did have a modest hit with stay it made it the top 20 on the hot 100 But I don't think that was enough to make the label invest in them overseas in America But I loved their sound

Because no matter what happend the sisters gone stick together and fight the other members no matter if they are wrong or right.

I heard that Louise kicked butt at a recent Gay Pride Concert as well as Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud. These guys should consider themselves blessed. In comparison to what happened to US Girl Groups, Death, Bankruptcy, Addictions it never happened to them, did you know that Darlene Love (The Crystals, The Blossoms) once worked as a Domestic and folks had no idea who she was.
It's so sad to know that a series of Misunderstandings resulted in their downfall. Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud admitted that Eternal was the First Concert she went to and Easther wrote for Girls Aloud as did JC Chasez of N'Sync.
When Kelly was diagnosed with lupus the other band members didn't reach out... Okay but does that include the former band member that introduced her to the band in the first place after all they were originally friends since school days
I honestly blame management for not helping keep the peace and having them communicate with each other, so glad they were able to come together and put the past behind them. Hopefully sometime next year for their 30th anniversary we can get a full reunion including Louise.
Most of the Bennett family were there managers as well. Kelle and Louise really stood no chance if your a group then and if equal good voices you should take turns on vocals. I read years ago Vernie was jealous of Kelle and Louise dance ability as she was not good dancer as them.

She becomes a Superstar, Mary Wilson & Cindy Birdsong try their best to continue with their replacement Jean Terrell and Florence Ballard dies broke in 1976. Only last year did Mary Wilson and Diana Ross finally make peace.
Well in comparison to other Girl Groups they were lucky. They came out of it with a Plan B and alot of Girl Group Members don't do that. The US would have loved them back in the day since there were so many R & B Girl Groups. En Vogue, Xscape, TLC, and SWV who are now doing a tour with Salt N Pepa and there's so much drama with them. Vernie who is a Licenced Lawyer should try to help future Boy Band/Girl Groups with their Contracts and stuff
Their first single "Stay" was released in America as well as their 1st album but no other singles were released in America after that and they just fell off the face of the earth to Americans after. Their single "Angel of mine" was released by American singer Monica, a few yrs later, but I only found that out like 10 - 15 yrs after the fact online.....I bought their first album when I was 12 years old back then.
