Hi John, I hope you read this comment and will answer: I have read stories about people having great success in eliminating cataracts using drops of fresh coconut water. Have you heard of this? If there are no young coconuts available at my local stores, do you think the water from the brown/mature coconuts would be safe to use? Or is there a bottled coconut water that is guaranteed to be 100% pure? Would appreciate your reply as you seem to know a great deal about coconuts. Thank you!

I find a nice log with a bowl/cavity in it to hold the coconut and then hit it with a hammer or machete. If the meat is mature and thick, break it into smaller pieces and remove with a butter knife. It's a lot easier than trying to get it as one huge piece. See what works for you.

In the philippines we just knock the shell and we already know it its good or not. You just have to be experience to know the sounds when you knock the shell.

I'm from there too and I searched up on RUclips how people can select coconut based on the sounds they make when they're knocked/patted, but I found none telling me about that 😂

How about step 1... where to buy them OUTSIDE of LA? Impossible to find on the east coast for less than $4 a pop!
