The proof is in the pudding in the shooting tests I did in this video. 286rpm/4.77rps *on target* vs a 1/2 size silhouette is lightning fast with a Ruger LCP max. Big thumbs up from me when it comes to XS.
@@Valorius heck yea they are! The big dots on my 19 went through fighting pistol at tactical Response no problems at all. 1,000 rounds in 2 days. And that included a lot of abuse!
@@Valorius my class was September 16-17, 2022. Right after he passed. I hated I never got to meet him. But it was still an awesome experience. 10/10 recommend!
bro are you running +P out of that? its not rated for hot loads, you're gonna blow the slide off in your hand thanks for the video tho, been looking at getting these in orange, they look way better than the stock ones (which are already pretty good)
@@Valorius good to know, lol. Anecdotally I've heard of them blowing up with +p, and the manual says to not use it, but I feel like if you're mag dumping +p the overpressure can't be that far out of spec
@aluxendr anecdotally a lot of people say a lot of things but there is not a single documented case on the internet of an LCP of any model blowing up from plus p That said I do recommend a 13-pound recoil spring if you're going to shoot plus p
@@Valorius I mean, not anecdotally, 380 +p actually does not exist as a rated round and is not listed by SAAMI. The warning in your manual is from circa 2009, when something involving an NDA and probably a settlement led to Ruger putting in that warning (involving the LCP, a heavier precursor). The gun is rated to 21,500 PSI for 380 auto; if it's less than that it, by definition, is not really +p. If it's over that (which reps from Buffalo Bore have said theirs run at 25k PSI, circa 2012 or so) then you're running at like 115% of rating. I couldn't find a reputable source for Underwood +p 380, so maybe it's under the 21.5 mark and not dangerous. It's probably worth looking into. Now, with some guns, you might feel comfortable doing this. Personally I don't think the MAX is a great choice, because it's cut down to 10oz and the barrel is so notably thin that it can't be threaded. I'm not saying any of this as a dick measuring thing btw, I actually enjoyed this and the videos you did on the MCARBO parts, and would prefer you keep putting out content (and all your fingers). If you can find out from underwood what PSI those rounds are putting out, that would also be of interest (I use 70gr G9 for carry, but that shit is fucking expensive and I don't practice with it).

I'm a big fan of the XS Big Dot sights. Great review!
