Why wasn't colour sargeant bourne awarded a vc?
Does it need to be de-strung when in storage or is there minimal tension when uncocked?
It doesn't say anything in the manual or the website about having to be restrung. I would think that it should be fine, but I would recommend emailing the company if that's a concern of yours.

Most people don't realize all the trouble the production went through with filming this scene. There was a war going on with guerillas and the pilots were always being called away from filming to go into combat. Also, this was one of R. Lee Ermey's first movie roles. He was the Huey pilot who said saw a heavy weapon below his chopper.
When I was 17, I was invited to the 20th anniversary screening of Apocalypse Now with the cast (except Laurence Fishburne). It was an absolute trip to speak with Frederick Forrest, Albert Hall, Martin Sheen and Sam Bottoms along with Christy Noel who was on Armed Forces Radio and many veterans. It was a night that I will always remember.
