NotASupraOrGtrFanboy agreed I feel like the r30 and r31's are the "forgotten generation" of the skyline which is kinda sad cause they're still amazing cars to drive with a little bit of work like suspension and wheels
I was initially surprised how good it looks in Las Vegas... but then I thought, well, it was designed in Japan, and Tokyo at night is _at least_ as bright and colourful as that, so actually it makes sense. Race livery tribute works pretty well too.
You see those classic round taillights and you know its a skyline. They look so good especially since the shape of this car is square-ish and angular and it makes the round lights pop out. i've never seen this skyline before, but just like the other models it looks good.
I'm surprised I haven't seen this car around town living in Vegas. It's still a pretty small city here. I hope to see this car in person. I love the 80's box designs.
+Ali Ahadi And lots of inquiries to get your amazing car into one of these videos helps I'm sure. I love the quality and the car choices. If it isn't something I'm into perse, I still 100% appreciate the car, it's owner and these videos after watching.

With your channel, I'm always wondering if you get approached by Millionaires with huge cash offers to film them and their cars. Your clips are full of passion, ambiance, emotion and refined cinematic skills. Petrolicious is the Criterion Collection of car channels. And just like them, you surprise me every time with your choice, and the brilliant and artistically enrichting packaging.
Nice video! Takes me back to when I was a kid in the 80s - we had the Skyline 2.8 GTX coupe going up against the Ford Cortina XR6 in our midnight street races (in South Africa).
you can get rb30 turbo engines in Australia as they were installed in our GM Holden Commodore built cars from 1985 to 1988 in turbo or fuel injected. GM Australia did a deal with Nissan to supply the factory with a good engine which is now a cult classic.
+Liam Bennett if you have problems to get parts then you have the coice of change it or wait for "maybe" working parts to get on the used market. have a friend that got his hand on an old Ferrari 400i with blown engine and shot gearbox for 9000 € estimated repairing the engine would costed at least 40k and would take months since they newer knew when there would be avaible parts. so he tok it out and exchanged the 4.8l V12 with an Alfa Romeo 75 3.0 V6 that had been turbocharged up to 255bhp. and swaped the gearbox for the one from the 75... ofc, it dont do 240km\h more, but 215 are not that bad ether, and it has now tripled its km stand with zero problems... and the old Ferrari engine\gearbox? sold it in parts for more than he payed for the Ferrari in the first place and the crashed Alfa 75
+Liam Bennett well. he's words that the FJ20 was hard to get parts for not mine :P i dont know about getting em in US as i'm from Europe but guess in Japan they would be quite OK to get hold of.... just need to know Japanese. if no other model that have the same engine and parts it might get annoyingly to get hold of parts "locally". hell, even getting parts for cars that was for sale here is some times pain in the ass... believe me, got an 92' Mitsubishi Galant D4 (Non-turbo VR4) and parts for the steering etc is a nightmare to get trough official channels. in my case it was "faster" and "cheaper" to order them directly from Ralliart in Japan (its not fast at all, but faster than not getting anything and shipping is expensive as hell)
懐かしい!昔DR30Turbo-Cに乗ってました。 この動画のように、今でも現役で、しかも海外で綺麗なDR30が走っているのを見ると感激しました。 Nostalgic! I used to ride the DR30 Turbo-C. Like this video, I was impressed to see the beautiful DR30 running overseas, which is still active.
Very very nice R30, the Watanabes look absolutely perfect on these, it's not a wheel I like too much but it's like they were made for the 30. I also like my cars more modified, but again, this one is so tastefully done in the period livery with the right amount of low that you can't help but love it.
he knows very well. today's GTR can be traced back to this particular model of Skyline. It was absolutely epic. yes it has different configuration of the engine, it has not the name "GTR" on, but everything of today's Nissan sports car began from this particular car.
cool car made history "The Nissan GT-R R32 made history in October 1991 when it became the first Japanese vehicle to win Bathurst. But that was just the final blow in a sledgehammer year in which Nissan also finished 1-2 with Jim Richards and Mark Skaife in the Australian Touring Car Championship and two R32s tied for victory in the Australian Endurance Championship."
My grandpa owns one he was trying to sell it but everyone is putting him down saying it's shit the price will never be the price you'll think it is so I asked him, '' not to sell it but sell it to me", he said '' I'll sell it to you when you have finished school as a reward ". I'm hoping that that car will be my first car.
Good to see people showing these skylines some love. A lot of people forget about them
NotASupraOrGtrFanboy agreed I feel like the r30 and r31's are the "forgotten generation" of the skyline which is kinda sad cause they're still amazing cars to drive with a little bit of work like suspension and wheels
Probably cuz the Japanese motor industry, likewise, is forgettable for the most part.
i am legit looking to save up money to buy a 2 door coupe of it, mainly the 4 door gtx are common
I have the same car but silver color
@@josiahpercimoney5219 can you tell me where I can find parts for this car such as head lights?
You guys create the best automotive content.
quality at its best!
Seeing that car riding in the night reminds me of gran turismo 2 for the ps1 so much. Very good looking car.
I was initially surprised how good it looks in Las Vegas... but then I thought, well, it was designed in Japan, and Tokyo at night is _at least_ as bright and colourful as that, so actually it makes sense. Race livery tribute works pretty well too.

Vegas was a beautiful backdrop. Great job guys.
Appriciated very much to R30 and to owner itself, Mr. Kho. Thankfully owned the Hotwheels version last week and it's astonishing 👌
If Petrolicious can do a video of a Honda/Acura NSX 1991-2005, I would die a happy man
yes!!
+billy joe I'm sure they did already? :)
+TassieLorenzo when, i really wanna see it
billy joe Sorry I got mixed up :( I was thinking of the Nick Murray NSX video.
+billy joe I'm considering submitting my all original 1991 red NSX to Petrolicious. I'm surprised they still haven't featured one.
Awesome video! Shot and put together beautifully
Great scenery, chill music, nice car, laid back mood...great video, as usual.
Petrolicious I love the way you show the cars off. Also with the owners story In the back ground. Great work
Great cinematography and very nice car! The hard work your team puts into each video really shows.
super rare car stateside, driving in Vegas? I also like to live Dangerously
I'm surprised I haven't seen this car around town living in Vegas. It's still a pretty small city here. I hope to see this car in person. I love the 80's box designs.
I was just thinking the same thing!
such great videos every week - how is it possible?

This is a treasure vid i just came across...
Mad homage to this time and era...
Beautiful
Amazing how different everyone's dream cars are but to each his own. Love the content even when the car does zero for me.
Just keeps getting better and better.
Omg I thought I was the only one in love with the Silhouette!! lol. Gran Turismo 2 did that for me. lol
Very nice! The Hasemi Motorsport stickers bring back memories of the Hasemi tuned R33 I used to own in the early 2000's.
without the stickers, it would be sooo nice! nice video Petrolicious!
+firebird188 i think it actually fits the car really well
Yeah, maybe a few less would be better. That said, great owner and love the story! Anytime someone can have their dream car it's a beautiful thing.
I love it. It gives that retro Japanese Touring Car Championship look
Captain Bacon exactly
+firebird188 It's a homage to the Hasemi Motorsports R30 that raced in the Super Silhouette series in Japan. I like it!

Beautiful car, wish the exhaust tone was more pronounced.
probably would growl if he actually got on the gas.
80's party car.
Thankfully this one hasn't been ruined by adding some insane spoilers in some misplaced effort to make it appear more "contemporary".
love it, the car and the show
like each week.
Thanks
this is mass production holywood film quality... no wait that's better
love the video. he did not really unleash the car or even accelerate hard, but I feel him in the fact that he wants to preserve it
Good job! Congrats Jay on an awesome production. #wildcards
I had one in Holland - stunning car and THE one that I regret selling. You're a lucky man.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH a R30!!!!! Always loved those
Cool setting, I'm surprised there aren't more videos in Vegas. Cool Video
Nice video! Takes me back to when I was a kid in the 80s - we had the Skyline 2.8 GTX coupe going up against the Ford Cortina XR6 in our midnight street races (in South Africa).
I love Australia. All the cars you could ever want. I just got my r31 skyline two weeks ago and I love it
Always a big fan of the earlier skyline
Hey local Vegas resident here ive seen this car! so dope
There's something about Japanese 80's and 90's car styling that I just love.
All those sharp angles....it's just like my AE86.
1987 Corolla GTS.
+Mr. Johnson i feel you. it made me miss mine.
Good stuff right here
Speaking of the Supra...find someone with a stock Supra, Petrolicious!
+mewmewmew
Or tastefully modified like mine :)
What a beautiful, beautiful JDM car.
Absolutely love the car
Needs more stickers on it IMHO.
Loved the story behind the car.. A+ on the video
This Skyline is my absolute favorite of them all.
love the red/black/gold color scheme. plan on doing that with my car!
Man! It sure is one beautiful car!🥰👍you're one lucky dude!✌😎👍
Thank you for loving the Skyline!

Cant believe the legendary FJ20 turbo engine was swapped for an boat anchor SR20. That sucks.

The most beautiful skyline
Oh yeah! Love me a old Skyline!
He dint get on the gas in the entire video :(
But does it have broads in atlanta?
That just looks so natural driving down the Vegas strip at night.
I had no idea the skyline went back that far. Love this channel!
+grndiesel They go back wayyyy farther.
+grndiesel Um, they certainly did.
way waaaay back to 1957.lol
A classic SKYLINE. VERY NICE
Really cool car, great video.

Old school Petrolicious, how we miss you
What a beauty that car is.
when you want to be somebody, you buy a new car
when you know who you are, you drive a classic
Damn..wise words my man.
This is such a SWEET ride.

One of these days I'd love to do a photoshoot with this car and my Japanese FC. The great 80's!
one of my dream cars, amazing
Nice car. I like the stickers. cool look. cool owner.
The late 80s right thru the 90s was the JDM era
FANTASTIC! Love it!
amazing . i love these petrolicious videos. makes me want to restore all my rides to hopefully have a video hear in this channel.
The uncle to the Nissan Leopard, known to Americans as the Infiniti M30. Cool car!
Sweet looking car. I've heard of the Nissan Skyline, but for some reason, they were never sold here in the USA.
Brilliant video pal!!!!!!
What a car. Much cooler than the R32's, R33's and most R34's.
sad that dr30's and hr31's aren't as popular as their siblings
+Gaeshak Kumar It is because they don't have the "GTR" hype.
Nice video and car. I saw these when I lived in Japan.......................
Great car. I know everyone has their own personal taste, but i would love this without the stickers/livery and some clean non drift style wheels
Ill leave only the 4 VALVE ones but.. Cmon you know that beauty need those Watanabes
Dude the watanabes are nice, can't leave them out.
Reminds me of a Toyota Soarer. Love those Skylines! Lots of mystique.....
Honestly this is why I like living in Australia dirt cheap skylines direct imports from Japan no hassle in obtaining spares
What a beautiful classic :) I want one :)
this looks soooooo good driving through Las Vegas.
Anyone remember this car from Speedhunters.com ?

Is that Red Rock Canyon outside Las Vegas? Awesome spot
Nissan did a great job to create the skylines 👏
really enjoyed this episode.

the nickname Godzilla were only given to the GT-R's in 89, unless he just call it Godzilla himself....
Awesome car awesome video

"It's a Nissan skyline. It's like a Sentra" (dies XD. I own an 02' Sentra Spec V)
