I’m a big fan of Sesame Street! I start watching the show when I was baby so I learn the alphabets quickly, I watch season 40-ish episodes, I remember the start of the episodes I watch usually was word on the street with Murray monster, after the story there would be celebrities with a muppet from Sesame Street, there where Abby flying fairy school episodes and at the end of the episode Murray will tell what the letter and number of the day was. I usually watched PBS kids in the living room after school or on the weekends, I watched PBS Kids for hours and for the shows I didn’t like I went to get a snack or just watch the show.
I was madly in love with Susan watching Sesame Street as a boy. Years later after I had grown up I found a girlfriend who looks alot like the 'Susan' character.
There was a scene in the very first Sesame Street episode in which 'Gordon' meets a little girl and invites her up to his apartment with him for ice cream! Oh boy!!!! There couldn't be a scene like that in a tv show today.
I like the 1969-2006 sesame street the best. But the problem of the oldest SS seasons are that Big Bird had a smaller head in 1969 and Snuffy looked rather creepy in 1971. Thankfully, they changed them to their friendly looks in 1972 and 1976.
I love it but you forgot several muppets like Guy Smiley, Bip Bipadotta, Granny Bird, Little Bird, Betty Lou, Lefty the Salesman, and the other monster muppets which actually came from previous Henson productions most likely for budgetary reasons.
The 1st season or two were a little slow, my favourite season was season 5 from 1973-1972 because Joe Raposo was Music Director and wrote so much music in those 1st five years, so the 5th had the benefit of all the repeated inserts from the season that preceded it. By the time Joe Raposo came back again it was over 10 years later and I was a teenager.
Elmo used to have a deeper voice oh and Elmer was in 1969 he was just a background character Elmo's first appearance was supposed to be in 1970 and that's when he has his deep voice
Elmo never existed in 1969. He never was created until 1979, and first started out as a background character before shortly after gaining a name and moving to the street.
My opinion on Oscar and Cookie Monster are different, but I don't want to say because it might upset you. I liked the baker number segments since the animations and the music were catchy. And I'm honestly not fond of the 2010s series probably due to the characters shown the most.
Actually Elmo was in the 69 it's just known as no see fun fact the first episode Sesame Street had was the first Muppets was Big Bird and also if you don't believe me Elmo was around that time I dare you to go search Elmo Sesame Street in 1969

Blue Peter is the longest running kids show starting in 1958 and still airing

Wishing I could download episode 2088; sadly, it never made it into the youtube collection, though I have recovered most of the clips from it.
I love classic sesame street! My favorites where the 80s and the 90s sesame street.

Big Bird sounded alot like Bullwinkle in season 1
I'm part of the classic era to basically volumes 2 &3 I was born in 1985 during seasons 15-22.

For Guy Smiley, he was originally named Big Bob before he started his game show career.

I like your review of sesame street characters in 1969.
Thank You, Dre Higbee.👍👍👍👍
To me season 39 should have been the final season
The reason that RF is a stereotype is because, he was a negative African-American stereotype Anything Muppet. And some said that he was too black.
Hey who your favorite sesame Street characters
Who performed Roosevelt Franklin on sesame street from 1970 season 1 1975 season 7
Matt Robinson was Roosevelt Franklin’s voice while Frank Oz was his puppeteer. Matt Robinson and Frank Oz both performed Roosevelt Franklin.

Sesame Street Is Never Ending
You never know. But even if Sesame Street does end, I bet they could represent that show in other material like social media and public events.
