Epiphone's are great guitars man I had a Les Paul junior Epiphone what a nice guitar I wish I could they didn't have to sell it now I'm kicking myself in the ass.
Gibson has allowed Epiphone to creep up on their quality so much that it’s hard to justify spending the extra $1K-$2K for the Les Paul with a Gibson head stamp. While the Gibson’s are a little nicer, the sound coming out of the Epiphone is pretty close. I have two LPs from both Gibson and Epiphone. Couldn’t afford the Gibsons until I became an old man.
Just bought one a few months ago. Work of art custom additions including binding, great headstock, and very versatile including Floyd Rose and split cools so I can play a strat tone!
A beautiful beast of a guitar! I was listening to this on a short road trip this morning and found myself rewinding it to hear you play. Just amazing! Love the backing track. Perfect.
Marty everytime you play for us you blow my mind cuz you get better every time and that was awesome I had to listen to the whole thing and I'm going to have to listen to it again cuz that was awesome.
If you find a string slipping off the frets, you may need a 1000-Series R3 nut which has narrower string spacing. I'm having mine changed. Otherwise very good but pricey guitar. 😅

Are those the 498T and 496R pickups in that? They sound good. LTD makes the Gary Holt Eclipse model (GH-600) which is a LP w/Floyd 1000 and EMG 81/89R...the black w/red looks stunning (to me).

@@lifeson8362 not sure man. Could be a setup issue or maybe the nut slot itself. Or where the string lies on the neck based on the bridge. Have a local tech inspect it. I use a fractal a x Ax8 in stereo. Friedman BE patch. Fx are in pro tools for recording purposes. Stereo exhib delay. Chorus.
Looks like a floating trem on that Floyd? How does it stay in tune so far? Are the strings stretched yet? Beautiful looking and sounding guitar! Thanks for showing it man!

Thanks bro! Man these guitars are tremendous! I was running in stereo with my AX8. I used a Friedman patch with Friedman IR's. (It's consistent for recording my content on RUclips). No mics needed!
What's not to like on this one ? Only problem is it's "limited edition". By the time I would have the dough it would be sold out. Same thing on last model. On the upside I do have a Studio with a FR.

What string gauge do you have on there? Because I have 9s on all my Floyd Rose guitars, but 10s on my Les Pauls. Just wondering where this would feel the best
Great looking guitar probably one of Epiphones best I would still take a 90,s Gibson Studio over that but that's just me ! Great jam Marty sounded great 👍🤘
It's cool but that high E string sure looks too close to the edge of the fretboard. Especially at the first 3 frets, it looks like the string is setting outside of the fret instead of over it.
if I could find a light one, 8-9 lbs, 7 is ideal 6 is better but yea, gibby don't make boat anchors that light, they be mooring container ships not row boats FCS...
Yeh I tried to pull it out initially and it didn't want to pull out so I didn't realize it. Then opened it up and saw the pot and realized it. I learn sometimes with the viewer. lol. But hey, at least it's free for yoh all to watch and I try my best. I admit I'm just a mortal human.

Absolutely beautiful guitar. Sounds great too. It looks almost identical to how my kit guitar turned out (the same pink one you built).

The locking nut is the key to a Floyd staying in tune. A nice Floyd 1000 or 150 are made nice enough to float properly and go back into place. 😎

Does anyone know if the frets are stainless? They're $1850.00 in Canada, and at that price many competitors like Schecter and ESP offer SS frets.
