    The little spool is for working the heel of the sock. You use the sock and spool together and it makes a thicker heel. I love using that! Love watching you girl. Great to have you back.

    Great episode. Watched on Monday, favourited the Destination Unknown cowl. Tuesday drove to The Knitting Loft in that crazy rain, picked up the yarn needed to make it. Got home just in time for my basement to flood. That cowl will forever be a reminder of summer 2024 in southwestern Ontario.

    Very happy to see another podcast. To be honest, I spend most of the year knitting Christmas gifts for my family, but I have been thinking that I need to knit myself some cardigans, so Patty’s new projects were very timely. No need to apologize for not podcasting more often. I am retired, and I know that I would never be able to find the time, but I’m glad that you do, even if you can’t do it as often as you like. I would love to know what technique Patty uses for knitting, as she seems to be able to knit, not only well, but with the speed of light. You all choose such great projects. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

      Yay, hope you enjoyed the video! That’s so sweet of you and your family is very lucky. I agree!! You should knit something for yourself and a cozy cardigan sounds perfect. Time has been limited lately but it’s always a great day when we can find the time to vlog because we enjoy it so much. I’m an English style knitter and thrower not a picker. I have been knitting for a very long time and with lots of practise I have been able to increase my knitting speed quite a bit. I knit almost every evening and hardly does day go by where I haven’t knit at all. Thanks for asking and for watching our video!! 😊❤️

    I've done a ranunculus with just sport weight 100% merino, nothing held with it, and it's one of my favorite sweaters. You can find it in my projects on Ravelry under theyarnrandomizer there. I'm not sure how just fingering would work out, might depend on the plumpness of the yarn after blocking. :)

    Thank you for the lovely WIP Along prize! Unfortunately I have been in a knitting funk, very excited to see what spring/fall tees I will able to knit with the lovely yarn prize!
    I have been on a spring/fall tee kick lately because I’ve only started knitting a few last summer. I bought a few patterns, but have found the right yarn.
    I love all the wonderful FOs, WIPs, and acquisitions! It is very inspiring and now I have more projects to add to my queue including Patty’s stripe tee and a shirt sleeve Ranunclus. I’ve knitted two long sleeves ones for colder season, always wanted to knit a short sleeve one!

    I have a question. If I don't have any wip I want to finish can I call using deep deep stash avwip. This whole year i have not boughtbany yarn. I have finished 4 sweaters and am on the home stretch for 2 more. One project I have been working on was to frog a very old tein set I knit 20 or 30 years ago. Thatvwas a project! It was knit in pieces so there were two pieces for the sleeves sweater and 5 for the cardigan. I wound the yzrn in balls as I was frogging. Then winding all this yarn on a niddy noddy to make a skein and finally soaking and drying the yarn to recondition it. Wondering if projects knit from this could go in your mal.. also have yarn inherited from my mother-in-law and she died more thsn 20 years ago and I don't know how long she had the yarn. If thrse don't count I won't be able to rnter yout knit along.

    • @ForestCityKnitGirls
      @ForestCityKnitGirls  Месяц назад

      Yes, I think that counts since it is a WIP that you are repurposing. It’s fantastic that you are planning on using yarn you’ve had for that long!! It does sound like it was quite the project! It’s also great that you will have knit 4 sweaters this year from your stash yarn! We would love for you to join our KAL and look forward to seeing what you plan on knitting. I also love hearing that you’re planning using yarn from your mother in law’s stash. Those will be very special projects. ❤️
