- We started our journey from Gobind Ghat and reached Devgram in afternoon. There we visited Shri Kalpeshwar Temple and explored some of the traditional food of uttarakhand. After this next day we had our breakfast and then did our journey to Nandprayag.

As per google And coming back to Kumaoni's dishes, Pinaloo is a vegetable quite similar to potato (Aaloo), is being eaten along with Puri here. Especially during festival time and when Charity Kitchen (Langar) food is cooked in temples, Pinaloo-Puri is compulsory to cook.

There are several root-vegetables belonging to COLOCASIA family It includes Pinalu, Arvi, Kachalu, Jimikand etc.Both green leaves and underground KAND are used as cooked vegetable in Indian cuisine .

पूरे भारत में अब शहर के मुख्य रेस्तरां में सब एक जैसा ही खाना मिलता है,जो शहर के पुराने इलाकों में जाकर वहां का फ़ूड ढूंढे उनको ही लोकल खाना मिलेगा।
कुछ समय बाद शायद पुराने शहरों में भी मिलना बंद हो जाएगा।
खाने पर जो "सांस्कृतिक हमला" है बहुत तेज है।पूरे पहाड़ में टूरिस्ट मैगी खा रहे हैं।
कुछ दिन में मोमोज,बर्गर,फ्राइड राइस खाने लगेंगे।
जो भी मेडिसिनल प्रोपर्टीज वाले लोकल फ़ूड आदि हैं इनको एक दो पीढ़ी बाद ढूंढना मुश्किल हो जाएगा।
शायद अब हमको इसका भी एक जीन बैंक,सीड बैंक बनाकर संरक्षित करने की जरूरत है।

हम उत्तराखंडी लोगों कि उम्र थोड़ी ज्यादा इसीलिए होती है, क्योंकि हम खाने को उसके ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्राकृतिक रूप में खाते है, हमारे खाने मे 70% हरी पत्तेदार सब्जियां ही होती है, पहाडों पर रोज चढते-उतरते है! हरी पत्तेदार सब्जियों को ज्यादा से ज्यादा खाने से शरीर बहुत बलवान होता है!
