Hi Great video!! A just purchased one in the uk. Un used for 20 years but started 1st pull !! It ran a bit lumpy and smoked!! Took off cover and found the air filter had gone to powder and been ingested by the engine!! Cleaned exhaust and replaced filter and runs perfectly!!!
Great video Glenn. Keep in mind that Honda updated the mixture recommendation to 100:1 later in the 1980's to avoid carbon/soot buildup with in the exhaust system. Be sure check your spark arrestor within the muffler housing, mine was almost completely plugged up with carbon and ran so much better after it was cleaned. It's hard to believe these were invertors back in the 1980's! The EX500 use a pure sine wave inverter and the EX350 was a "modified square". These are great little units and probably the best running, quietest, 2-cycle engine I've ever heard in any application. Good luck with your collection!
@GlennsSpeedShop idk if anyone has told you but they had a recall of the ex350 units and all it was, is to run 100:1 in it as 50:1 was to rich of a oil mix and would create carbon build up in the exhaust port and could cause it to fall back into the cylinder causing it to score the piston and cylinder, so make sure to run that in it next time. I run one packet of ams oil saber 2 cycle oil to one 1 gallon can of vp racing 4 cycle fuel and it seems to really really like it very well, starts first pull every time. Just figured I'd give you a heads up is all!
Thanks for the heads up and the explanation. I had heard that the newer models had 100 to 1 printed on the cover, but i did not get the back story. I traded my father in law some work for it. However, i did buy it new as a doorprize that he won. It's not had one full tank of fuel run through it yet. I have 15 Honda Generators currently and Thanksgiving weekend i service and change the fuel out in all of them. I will go to 100 to 1 in this. I almost had a second one today. I was going to trade with a friend, but he backed out of the trade an hour ago. Cheers Glenn
@GlennsSpeedShop nice! Ya I have two of them, ones still brand new in the box and it's the older one with the 50:1 printed on it. I think the date code on it is 1991 for the year. But I mean if it hasn't had a tank ran through it yet it probably wouldn't hurt it one bit to run a gallon of 50:1 through it just to break it in. That's what I'm gonna do on my new one if I ever decide to fire it up for the first time lol.
I was an officer in Gold Wing Road Riders Assn for 22 years. In the early 90s i put on 3 motorcycle rallies and i bought 2 of these for 2 annual rallies as our main door prize. Fred-s Honda split rhe cost with me. My lather in law won one of them.... this one. Has less than 10 hours on it...
Yea... thats a great addition to Honda's line up. The company I worked for is a Honda distributor in some states and before I retired, I bought the eu7000 using my company discount. I'll have to wait for the 3200 to hit the used market. That will be a while...
Not likely, I'll find a use for it, I just had to have it. My father in law is 90 years old and he needed his yard tilled to replant the grass and buying a tiller and tilling his yeard was a good trade for both of us. I'll care for it as long as I own it. Back in the day we traveled on our motorcycles and towed test trailers, having this tiny generator was a luxury item for light camping. Will be perfect for my Alcan Truck Camper!

Put a little Seafoam or Berryman in the next tank, give the system a good cleaning

Nothing better than Honda generators
I bought the EX 350 in 1993.
Someone stolen it out of my garage in 2007.

Your missing out on the EU3200i what’s going on. Great review thank you

Very cool, love 2 strokes.
But Glenn, what about the EU6500IS? I don't see one of those ;)
Yea, you're right... I guess rhe EU7000 will have to cover that one! LOL
I have a honda collection also . E40 . E300, E400, E500, E600, ,EX800,E900,EX1000,Eu1000 ,Eu2000 and EU2200, None smoke . 😊
Is the E40, a small 40 watt Honda Gen that was given to some Honda dealers by Honda? One was for sale recently around here..
@@GlennsSpeedShop They were sold with a small Sony tv also. It was in a kit
Any luck finding a special cover for this one? Just picked up the exact same model!
Yes... I picked up a good sized duffel bag and it fits inside it great!
Later
Glenn
I have what you have and I just put gas in it for the first time.... dammit 2 pulls 25 years I'll be... I'm keeping it 🤠
I think my current count on Honda Generators is 13. When asked why i have so many, i ask... What is the limit! LOL
Damn you going to corner the market😅
Little beauty
Is the EX350 an inverter for your sound equipment?

I can just watch your video instead of firing up my EX350 to see if it starts after 25 years of storage as well.
How loud is it compared to your eu10?
In the 150 watt mode, it is quieter, in the 300 watt mode it is louder as its rpm is much higher. It's practically useless, but I love it!
