    Ali, you always are so full of information. I've gardened for years but you are making me a better gardener. Thank you for taking the time to teach us all. 💕💕

      I really hope to do that in the next while. I’ve been compiling my info in hopes to have the time to do so.

      Thank you 😊.
      We are in zone 8a, elevation 3,300 ft. Our area has very hot summers. July reaches 115° F.

    No, you don’t talk like that…but I sure do enjoy the bloopers! 😁
    Thanks for the info! I will be adding green sand to my raised beds, and cover them with leaves, this month.

      Its funny how the camera ties my tongue 😂. I’ve pulled everything but the fall crops out and as the leaves fall I’m doing the same, adding greensand and lots of leaves. Love the garden right now. Not overgrown and I can walk down the rows. 👍

    Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge on homesteading. I just found your channel today, and I am loving your videos. If you don't mind me asking, are you in zone 8a or 8b? I am in 8b. Just curious and wondering is there a big difference between 8a and 8b? I am new to this.---- Again thanks I think I will learn a lot from you.....

      I’m a zone 8a. Zone 8b is 5 degrees cooler. zones are divided into “a” and “b” with a difference of 5 degrees Fahrenheit. And thank you! 😊

    All good advice! Wish my persimmon could produce; sat idle for about 15 years except one in our PNW garden. And when it did produce, the fruits were not as good (Fuyu variety too). Perhaps we don’t have the heat?
    I’ll try applying minerals this November but would they leach in our wet fall and winter?

    • @Alisorganics
      @Alisorganics  Год назад

      Oh darn! last year we had very few persimmons, most of the early fruits dropped and never set. Cold or pollination I’m sure was our problem. I apply mineral to my fruit trees in early winter. Yes, so they can leach into the soil and be broke down. 😊

    Do you have a sketch of how you planned your land? I have 2 acres and trying to plan it out to make it attractive.

      I don’t have a sketch. We have an intro video the kinda gives an overlay drone shot. It’s something people ask for. I’ll do a more in depth overview this summer. Thank you 🙏🏼
