First of all: I like this game a little bit more than super mario 64 c: both are so great games...but I had so much more fun exploring the world of Banjo ^-^ This is truly a great choice for a cover ^-^ the song has a big adventure feeling and the lead-melody works so well for hardrock-elements =D the contrast between the softer banjo and the hard guitar rifts and the bass is a brilliant idea...and it just gets bonus points for including the instrument which represents the main protagonist hehe =D this is a really cool collab! I love the different video angles and montages from you both and it was like a light and dark side combination...thanks for sharing this with us, to answer your question: the waiting was worth it ;)!
I was thinking the same thing, when I saw the game, the first thing I thought was how similar it is to Super Mario 64. I grew up with the latter but Banjo-Kazooie definitely has it's magic and the music reflects just that. I wanted to cover one from this game for so long and this was just the right opportunity. I was thinking to myself, "If you're going to cover some Banjo-Kazooie, you gotta have some Banjo in there" so JT was just the right person for it. But of course, combining it with my classic rock/metal sound. I'm glad it worked out fine. Very observant of you, I realized the same while editing, especially when I tried that new editing technique showing us both at the same time haha.
