Beautiful bike! 1948 was a great year. My first MC, almost, would have been a 500 matchless when I was 16 in '64. My mother read me the riot act.. No MCs, No jeans and No leather jackets! I finally wore her down and bought a 80cc 2 stroke Suzuki. popity pop pop. I was officially a biker. 😆

Simplicity is sometimes over looked even in these old bikes.
Always wanted a G80 (wound up with a basketcase 67 P11 though so) - very nice!

Maybe a different carb was on it at some point, not sure why
