If the engine is stock or they just install intake and 4bbl it's not going to impress. The stock cam has less than .400 lift it was made for no drama locomotion mainly in full size cars. The 400 SBC has a lot potential but it must have a decent cam. A lot of weird going on with that car. It's got a whole lot mix matched parts, like the hood is from 73 or 74 car. The front fenders are missing badging, leading to concerns of front engine damage. It mostly likely came with 307 maybe a 350 2bbl would have come with 10 bolt rear. It's looks fair but the hodgepodge of parts would bug me without a close look. To me that seems like a whole lot a lot of money for the sum of the parts even from a dealer. To push a nova over to $25K or more it needs to be way nicer than that, a 4 four speed or real SS.
My Uncle had a '70 Nova from 1972-1985! It was a "standard" car ('307", auto, p.s., pb.) nothing "special" then! This would be BETTER than ANY of the garbage "cruising" concrete now!
I had a 72 about 15 years ago and have regretted selling it since. Really love the look of this car. Thanks for sharing videos of these awesome muscle cars.
my first car a 72 ss gold with black top black interior i was 15 and didnt even have a drivers liscense when i bought it 2 nd owner man some memories that 1 had loli got it in 77 lol
Well, I have never saw a time, when I thought man ,I just don't like their inventory .Now from what has came across the last suggestions, hope it stays like now. Dang Nick, I keep thinking, I'll just wait till spring go down to Maple Motors and buy because they will always have something that is just perfect and by then my credit and everything will be at it's best. Well from a 426 Hemi ANYTHING, to a blown Camaro, corvette stingray convertible, and old step aside trucks even my favorite c10s . My mind is turning flips and now a nova .I love it sorry about my rant but I have loved this place from the time I was a little kid buying a wheels and deals and I just turned 39 and still love it . Now I just have to do in and see if my credit will go through . It's got to be a true blessing from God to be able to buy and sell classic cars and tell people the truth . I'll try to get into look and talk to them later about financing. If it didn't go through after getting down their I would be sick. Have a great one y'all.
I like Maple motors dealership I like them old classic cars you be putting out every week that's nice cars American muscles cause a lot of Chevrolets I love the mopars Pontiacs Oldsmobiles thank you
My brother had a 65’ Malibu with no power steering and it sure did suck parallel parking. Got a good arm workout tho 😁 Keep the vids coming Nick. Beautiful classics brotha 🤙🏼
I think this is very fairly priced. It's a driver car. Not really a muscle car or show car, but very nice. I have a 71 and have built it back up from being junk, so I know what goes into making them as presentable as this one is. Good value.
Great year and an overall clean car. Needs a few things but nothing that would break the bank and you can with some ambition convert it to power steering.
I ordered a 1970 nova SS straight from the factory biggest engine was a 350 4 speed Muncie with bench seats automatic trany came with bucket seats shifter on the floor not on the column only available that way
Very nice car for the money, The underside was extra nice and that is important in a uni-body car. The squeaks could be poly bushings. And I bet it didn't have a thermostat in it ,that is why it is running cool .P.S .your music is great, you should be touring.
It sure doesn't seem that you're having too good of luck with the Nova models. That hot pink one should have sold by now. It's a very clean and straight car with a good interior and a strong motor to go with it. Maybe too high of an advertised price?
I'm surprised you didn't need clean underwear after passing that Toyota Tacoma at 4:28 going the wrong direction on the road towards as you floored it. LOL
Not going the wrong direction, that's one of those old school shared middle lanes. It's middle lane that could be shared number of different ways depending on the markings. I used to have a historic road near me that had them but they replaced them at some point in the last 30 years.
No. Not even close to 400. 170-220 be more like it. Maybe 100-150 at the wheels. Just a nice drivers car nothing high performance about. But that can all easily be sorted. Great car imo to start with
You can certainly find a real SS 350 Nova for under $40k from time to time a fair 396 car. At $40k you are getting a very nice example likely in excellent condition inside and out. The big block cars are often stupid expensive, but that's true of all real big block Chevy's. Most people would be happier with a clean car with strong engine for around $30k that's may even be a SS clone with a big block for that. Beside really SS 396 even with 375hp is likely to get smoked by newer V6 camaro. A hopped up engine is far less likely to get you griefed like that.
Nice car but I live in St. Louis and too many pantsagging Democrats that don’t drive with insurance and too many hit and runs to own something so beautiful. Trump enough of the bullshit

I thought it would be faster for a 400. Such a nice car at a amazing price. 25k car right there

@@Dayandcounting You are correct, that is no where near a 25k Nova.
Lit is an SS NOT A MUSCLE CAR MY REAR

Thanks, you too!
Man that car takes me back, that's a beast, love to own that!!!!!!
Was excited at first glance. I could deal without air conditioning living in Wisconsin, but not without power steering.
Great year and an overall clean car. Needs a few things but nothing that would break the bank and you can with some ambition convert it to power steering.
Nova’s always nice cars.
I ordered a 1970 nova SS straight from the factory biggest engine was a 350 4 speed Muncie with bench seats automatic trany came with bucket seats shifter on the floor not on the column only available that way
I don’t think this is an SS. Wrong steering wheel unless replaced. Probably SS fake
You could get 396 in 70. Last year for big blocks in novas.
I like your cars, there not perfect, but the allow a lot of people to be able to buy their dream cars. Cheers from Chestermere.
You've got a oil leak, my friend. In the front, probably the timing cover, easy fix.
The cars are sold as is🤘
saw that.
I had a 71 good ol Days the right size car
She's a beauty, and wow, all those sweet cars! I foresee a stop in Henderson, TN when I hit the road! Cheers from Arizona.

Great looking car and glad I found your channel - I am just confused how the price is 18k.....hhmm....

Still is high but someone probably wants the body.

As with just about everything else you guys have, this won't last long!
do you know whats wrong with the front end?
It sure doesn't seem that you're having too good of luck with the Nova models. That hot pink one should have sold by now. It's a very clean and straight car with a good interior and a strong motor to go with it. Maybe too high of an advertised price?

You have the best job in the world lol
I like it but question do you fix things like the horn on these cars.
400 hp that 400 turns out right? I’m sooooooo tempted.
No. Not even close to 400. 170-220 be more like it. Maybe 100-150 at the wheels. Just a nice drivers car nothing high performance about. But that can all easily be sorted. Great car imo to start with
We may be interested in the white nova
Hmm SS badging on a non-Super Sport. Oil leak (easy fix) and pulling to the left (like non of us has dealt with that before). It’s not a bad purchase.
What a beauty. 🇺🇲❤️✌️
