So other people know, you can make meat substitute if you have Cottage Living. It's under canning and I believe it requires mushrooms (I think it's the equivalent of making tofu). It's another step for you vegetarian/almost vegan sims, but definitely a cool addition for realism imo. Also the reason you can't drag the drinks tray into the inventory is because the pitcher was still half full. I discovered that issue myself earlier today after my sim made sweet tea. 😅
@@EnglishSimmer Yeah, but weirdly enough I think they changed it at some point, because I got an entire additional tray full of drinks from the second half. I swear it never used to give you that many drinks the few times I used it in the past. But hey, that just means more profits for sim kids. 😂
Thank you so much for educating me! I have been making all my vegetarian sims work as eco planners so they can get the meat wall, making canned meat substitute is so much easier!
@@remidesaudeur4557 It is and I'm glad to have helped someone! 😊 I don't have Eco Lifestyle myself, so canning is literally the only thing my vegetarian sims can do (well unless they're werewolves but I don't believe in vegetarian werewolves).
I feel like I must be one of the few people that doesn’t want aspirations to take a lifetime to achieve. 😂 I like being able to switch them around whenever and being able to finish one and then move on to a different one.
I truly appreciate how through you are with these pack/kit reviews & you are my go to resource for getting critical yet fair info on these things. Thanks :)
These food stalls sound perfect for a sim who has maxed the culinary career and wants to retire from the weird hours of restaurant life to put their cooking skills and career-achievement reward (the one that makes food never spoil) to more creative use.
Yep, or those who want to tell the story of running a small restaurant (being able to cook the food you sell in advance) instead of playing Dine Out's version.
I can’t wait to see just how much this integrates with the other packs, I love playing with simple living so will be interesting to see how it works there x
So far it works beautifully with simple living. Be careful with off the grid tho. I think my stand mixer glitched bc the house lost energy halfway through prepping food. There *might* have been something on the floor, but the dog ate it ROFL
I am so excited for this pack! I’m a pastry chef in real life and now my sim self can have a cute cupcake stand or sell pizza. Truth be told I never made my sim own/ operate a bakery because it did not really meet my expectations so I’m definitely buying this pack!
I didn't see you change the markup price, I know with CL stalls/retail selling, the higher the markup, the harder it is to sell (as it should be, for once). Maybe that's why Caleb wouldn't buy the cure? I'm so excited for this pack. It feels very much like just an improvement on the cooking skill, but since the base game got a free update, and this integrates the other packs so well ("so well" = at all), it actually feels like what dlc should do. Pay for extra stuff, but you don't need it for good gameplay. I think that's what has me most excited, honestly. 😂
@@EnglishSimmer some people, like you, are naturally great teachers. You explain things in a way that's easy to understand and not overwhelming. While watching your process and mistakes, we learn helpful tips. Thanks for not glossing over things quickly.
After watching some gameplay -thanks for that-, I would like a baking-related aspiration, the ability to create new recipes (which could help with the lack of representation), be able to be the chef or your restaurant / café, more of a market or supermarket experience regarding the ingredients and a very doable one I think can happen: Sims having a favourite food, as in likes/dislikes ?
I've been wanting Sims to get to choose a favorite food too. I think with likes and dislikes, they could easily add something like that. I hope they do! Things like that make the Sims feel more realistic and interesting.
Thanks for mentioning the hot drinks. I was wanting to sell doughnuts, coffee and waffles for like a breakfast stand I'll just give the coffee away then :) I had some custom content hot chocolate and coffee that's more like the summer drinks tray. Maybe those will work :)
This pack looks very interesting! I can't wait to play with it (weekend here I come!) ! PS: The spoiled food timer looks bugged to me.. I hope devs will take a look at this because it's weird to see it change so much and so many times. Thank you for the review! :)
Hi There. Love your videos they are so informative. i was hoping to watch the Twitch stream to get more info but the lag on the site is horrible for video playback. Just wanted to know if you plan to upload the stream to RUclips....Im really hoping to understand more on how the stand works when it comes to interacting with townies of the different neighborhoods. Some foods sell more in different locations. Im guessing townies from warmer climates would enjoy cooler options sich as ice cream and lemonade...or does the food being purchased depend on the individual townie at the stall. Should I be getting to know my townie neighbors trait before i stock my stall? If you have any guesses, please feel free to share in a vid. Thanks.
Has there been any talk about allowing authors to sell signed copies of their books? That could plug into a few packs, including the Fame system. Thank you for the video, it really clarified my thoughts on it and I will likely pick it up at some point.
I said the same thing about the ovens! I wish they'd set them to just cook in the background while my sim lives her life. Is it too much to hope that they'll address that in an update?
I honestly didn't play much with city living stuff so you can probably save. I do have all the packs installed in this video so idk if the recipes change if you only have base game or if you just dont get the discount with not having the fresh ingredients
oh it’s off the gallery i’m so sorry i’m not at my pc rn so i can’t check the original creator but it was one of the top marketplaces under most popular
If the Sims team could make a lore announcement that all meat in the game is lab grown due to the ability to clone things (like the cloning lore they used for Katrina Caliente), this could be a psychological work around for my vegan head canon when i play. And being able to substitute plant milk for anything that needs milk.... especially as its not like there is any animal slaughter game play (apart from fish and crickets). As it is my vegan sim can't complete the Appliance Wiz aspiration as they are stuck on only feeling ethically ok with making only 4 of the 6 'unique prepped ingredients'. I suppose I will just have to cheat it and pretend it said 4, because fair enough.
The mixer doesn't recognise flour or sugar in my inventory while I have the simple living trait on. So annoying. This means I can't make batter or dough. Anyone else having this issue?
oh that IS annoying. I haven't fully delved in deep to it but I'll deffo check it out and see if its the same for me. Edit: it’s unfortunately working for me and i just bought them from the grocery delivery

AHH thank you!! yeah they always leave like one portion left in it so that makes sense

5:44 “You can grow fish” might be my favourite part of this video😂

@@aaly.aaly.oxenfreeMost definitely. It's basically everything I really wanted from DO.
This is the kind of cross pack compatibility I've always wanted from the Sims 4.

it basically works how you expect! you need all the fresh ingredients to prep and the new recipes like pizza and waffles

Oh I like the idea of a book sale for a writer who writes their own books and makes several copies.
I love that apparently your first thought when you see a food sale is 'I wonder if I can sell books.'
lol

i think i tested by changing it back down to like 25% but he wasn’t having it
Do you think he might’ve been in a not so great mood from being out during the daytime and that made him not want to buy?
Thanks for sharing this detailed review. Big help
aaaaaall good! felt weird to be back doing it for stuff packs lol

Awesome video. We need a Shaved Ice maker
Thank you so much for posting this. I was on the fence about buying it until I learned about the new aspiration.
So we can make lemonade stands for the kiddos? That’s actually really cute❤❤
if you have backyard stuff, yes!

100% my new favorite sink
your bed cover 😍😍😍
When did they add the feature of growing fish??? 😂 5:42
nah seriously my BRAIN was RUNNING this video. the worst one is something towards the end i heard it in editing and decided to just leave it lol
"streamline feels so cooking with the prepping" i am so so sorry everyone's brains for that one
Yeah, that was a good one! 😂 31:44 Took me a beat to figure out what that meant
made me chuckle for a good minute i kept replaying it haha@@EnglishSimmer

i’m uploading it tomorrow!
This is just one step up from having a yard sale stand.

Meanwhile I can't even make beans on toast. No, seriously I'm in China now they don't have tinned beans over here. XD
Is there a way I can drag items from my inventory to the food stand inventory on a Xbox one?! I can’t figure it out 😢
I didnt get the pack yet, but Pizza Marinara is technically pizza with just marinara sauce- so that is vegan, if they dont used parmesan cheese.
yeeee!
I wonder what would happen if you played it with the Unlucky Chef scenario.
Can you save on making the saffron waffles if you have saffron from City Living? It looks weird that it's an automatic/base game item here.
I honestly didn't play much with city living stuff so you can probably save. I do have all the packs installed in this video so idk if the recipes change if you only have base game or if you just dont get the discount with not having the fresh ingredients
Can you pack prep ingredients in the new lunch box? 🤔
I love the community building pls tell me you shared it on the gallery 😊 I couldn't pull up ur I.d. when trying to look. 😢

Does This Pack Allow You To Be The Chef Of Your Restaurant?
nope

The great hustle for a broken game. 😂😂😂
How do u get stall??
you purchase it through build and buy mode ☺️

We can eat cookies dough! I wanted to make a Waffle House
