  • This is a pusher version of my Delta Wing design. All of the same dimensions, except the root chord has been moved up a 1/2 inch. Flies great!

The pulling out of the loop "a little funny" was probably due to the fact that, without tip fins, your plane was essentially operating as a true Flying Wing. The old Northrop XB-35s and YB-49s had a tendency to "hunt" about the yaw axis after turns, especially in turbulent conditions. Your plane was probably experiencing the same effect. Otherwise, it looked like it was flying beautifully!

Without the end fins, a delta wing might be more prone to tip stall when flying slow and attempt to make a steep bank.

It would be interesting to try a regular airfoil like Clarke Y without fins

Try them with fins below the wing only.
then try them ventral and inboard either side of the prop.
    Check out my Ho-229.

Others have done the same thing by leaving a flat spot near the wing tips to produce drag. I suspect you have the same sort of thing at work.

cool experiment. please don't call them mini zephyrs though. seriously. if you flew a zephyr you would know why it is offensive.

What a waste of a perfectly good aircraft.
