Sorry you didn't hit it outta the park but these bundles are very touchy bet we both know other boxes can be like that as well. Hope you get a better bundle next time my friend.
I 100% agree with ya Wildcat, paying in the triple digits for this, with the plan of opening them anyway, is pretty risky. I was lucky enough to get this for the accidental Amazon price drop, but I pulled roughly $80 in value not counting the box, and bundle boxes run around $10 on eBay, so I'd have not been upset if I had paid the original price. Getting all the foil lands, Phyrexian lands, and Oil Slick lands are a nice little bonus and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the Oil Slicks. So I'm totally down with doing this type of thing in the future so long as WotC doesn't go overboard and start doing this all the time OR reducing the number of set packs (which I expect from them). As far as the opening, big 'ol congrats to Brad! That Slick Norn though! Very nice stuff! And then...Wildcat got done dirty. Ok, couple of Gardens, and at least one solid Slick, but still, that was a big 'ol bummer to see.
I think the product and treatment is neat. I think the idea of a treatment that is exclusive to a product that isn’t a collector booster when there is already a premium on that product is a slippery slope. Especially when there is an initial perception that it’s short supply which then jacks up the price.
Yeah, that’s tough. At $140 it’s a hard pass for me personally. I could maybe rationalize $100 but I really don’t love the huge mark up on this product.
They couldn't get you an Oil Slick Blightbelly Rat, huh? It's like they don't even care. 😂 Jk. A unique experience, for sure! Thanks for letting us take part. 😁
In fairness… an oil slick Blightbelly would be a 1/1 soooooo…. 😂 It’s a neat product. The special treatment in a special product is a slippery slope and I don’t love the huge markups but the actual oil slick treatment itself is REALLY nice. They do look incredible.
The $80 price tag is fair given 12 set packs, foil lands, and the oil slick pack. I cannot get on board with $140 when there will be another super cool treatment right around the corner because there always is.
@@WildcatMTG Yeah I think $80 is fair for what you get and I like that the oil slick cards are mythics only since there is less chance for a completely dud pack.
Don't take this the wrong way Wildcat, but tbh if one of the boxes had to be not so great, it's probably better that it was yours rather than Brad's. I imagine if you were doing an opening like this and your one turns out amazing while your friend's one isn't great, it would feel really really awkward. "hey sorry yours kinda sucked" > "ah heck..." > "yeah sorry, really unfortunate" > "well how was yours?" > "It was.. uhh... not bad I guess..."
No offense taken. If it came down to me and a friend or Patron I would much rather I have the bad box than them. But woof was my box especially not great this time. 😂
I think they have it designed so that it can be kept and used for additional storage which is also cool. But it’s definitely funny to see a half empty box. Like a half full potato chip bag…
Can't believe I actually said out loud, "I'm sorry," when you pulled that Lukka.
I appreciate the empathy! Certainly not my best pull ever… 😂

No worries, it happens! Thanks Pawz!
This bundle is very nice. I cracked mine some weeks ago and got the mommy as oil foil! Very happy boi now. 😊
Big congrats to you! The oil Elesh Norn is an incredible hit. 🙌🏼

wish they were still available thru amazon lgu here wants 140.00 not to mention the preorder prices on lord of the rings is already ridiculous.

😂😂😂
nice hit lukka, obliterator, nissa and elesh
The Elesh and Nissa pack was really sweet.
I really like the oil slick treatment, but I can't afford to spend $80 on a bundle let alone $130 - 140 lol.

Agree 100% about the oil slicks being limited to mythic only. Absolutely the right call.

why is the box so big? like half of it is completely empty :D

He is such an absolute troll level card :/
He really is… like, c’mon man how is this a mythic?
