    I purchased the book & the app, I predominantly use the app and where I'm getting stuff wrong use the book to look up & study and so far this seems to be working well for me.

    Strange your instructor said your examiner might try to catch you out by possibly sending you down a wrong street with restrictions. My instructor said the examiners aren't trying to catch us out, they only want to ensure we can complete all of the necessary procedures to the required standard.
    My examiner asked me to pull over half a dozen times. He kept looking at his watch after about 25 minutes out on the road. As soon as he started doing that, I remembered what you said about "..running the clock down .."
    I'm looking forward to my CPC Case Studies tomorrow. I think I have the CPC book. They're downloadable in PDF format for free. A few DSA publications are available in digital format for free.

    Well done. I bought the app and got 1 wrong on the case study, I have my mod 4 on Tuesday, then after that I'm going to start my CPC 35h over the weekend. One question for you is, do you feel the 2 hour drive time was enough though?

      Hi RRuuffaarroo, thanks for the comment. Wow, you smashed it! I found the mod 4 really straight forward so I wouldn't stress too much about it. My training was 2.5 hours per day for 4 days - so a total of 10 hours training. There was also an hour 'warm up' before the test. I know some companies do shared training, but mine was 1 to 1 so I did have the full time driving. Personally, I do feel people who are confident drivers that have experienced dual carriageways, motorways and a variety of roads then the 10 hours is enough. I think that people who are a little more nervous when driving or who haven't been on the motorway, etc, may struggle and benefit from more training. For over a £1000 more training wouldn't hurt for people who don't take to it so quick! I have good spacial awareness too, so I didn't struggle with road positioning or going around corners with the extra length, but I can imagine a lot of people do! I've been riding a motorcycle for 6 years and driving my car for 4 years so I feel that has helped me a lot. Riding a motorbike you have to be more aware of what other drivers are doing (and what they might do) because they may knock you off and this has definitely helped with the lorry - but this time you have to be careful not to knock into anyone else. Motorbikes also don't stop as fast so that helped. Last thing - satnavs - I think people who rely on satnavs will struggle as the driving test requires you to follow road signs and use them for lane positioning, height/weight restrictions, etc. Please feel free to fire more questions my way if you have any and I'll try and answer them. :)

      Sorry I'm late replying to you. There is an option for the case studies and questions to be read out to you. You can wear headphones so it'll be easier that way for you

    Hello Hayley - I’ve just passed my class 2 I’m about to sit my CPC case studies test I have bought a app I can’t into I’ve looked on google I can’t grasp , how did you practice for the case studies theory? And what did you do to get into the mind set because I’m thinking do I need to go back to the LGV theory practice to rejoin me memory on weight limits - driving ours - restrictions etc ? Thank you!!

    • @TruckDriverHayley
      @TruckDriverHayley  4 года назад +1

      I revised all of my theory test notes, I didn't buy anything specific for CPC but I only passed by 1 mark so I'd say I was lucky! I guess you've already done your CPC by now? How did it go? :)
