BANGKOK'S HIDDEN JUNGLE: Benjakitti Forest Park [4K HDR]

Benjakitti Forest Park is located next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, near Sukumvit Road, Bangkok, Thailand. This is 2nd and 3rd phase of Benjakitti park. The new, updated Benjakitti Forest Park extends over an area of 102.4 acres that originally was home to a tobacco manufacturing facility. You may already know Benjakitti Park (area 24 acres) which has a jogging and cycling track around a large lake. Well, this new extension is more than twice as a big. And it's not your regular park. It's more natural with swamps, ponds and sky walks. Not much wildlife at the moment but they will come with time.
Opening hours: 4:30 AM - 9:00 PM, Daily
How to get there:
BTS Asok station(E4) or MRT Sukhumvit station (BL22), 10 min walk.

Nice video with a nice walk in a beautiful new park.
Last year (2023), must have been in March or so, I planted two walnut trees there (illegally 555). But then I did not come back for a couple of months, and I forgot where (I noted the GPS positions, but they were faulty). Don't know so if they grew a little bit.

If you want to avoid the late evening, snap-happy, crowds go earlier in the day. It may be warmer so bring a wide-brim hat and/or parasol and my advice is to avoid the Sky Walk (elevated walkway) as there is hardly any shade but walk the many possible trails at ground level that are often shaded by trees and you get so much closer to nature.
