Since working as a plumber without a state license is a crime and they are not filing criminal charges against him, he would have a bond with the state.

Before I retired I did handyman services in my retirement community.
    Most of whom were widows.
One lady called me to do a few things for her.
In the course of working, she mentioned that she was had a plumber come out because of a leak problem she was having
Just out of curiosity I ask if she could show me the problem,
We went outside to where the water comes into the house.
I could see that there was a serious leak.
She informed me that the plumber wanted $5000.00 to fix it because the slab the house sat on had
    sunken and crushed the pipes.
This didn't sound quite right to me.
I dug down a few inches around the pipe and discovered it had obviously been cut with I assume was a hack saw.
I fixed it for her at the cost of the material which was .54 cents.

Justin, "Innocent until proven Guilty in a Court of Law!" and the burden of proof is on the Prosecution! You, Me, Everyone might think that we know exactly what the POS Plumber did.... but not one of us has definitive proof! We have all seen the video of him walking into the home with a bag of concrete and a bucket and we're told that he was the only contractor to enter the home, that week! But can you prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that it was him that committed the crime? We know it's him, we're sure that it's him but not one of us can prove that it's him... therefore, in the eyes of the Law.... he's innocent! If you're to learn anything from this sad story.... it's to always invoke your fifth, say nothing, remain silent... Guilty or Innocent.... then it's up to the Law Enforcement Officers to gain enough evidence to put before a Court/Jury to convict you... that's their job! We know that he's Guilty but we can't prove it... Sometimes innocent people are convicted and sentenced for crimes that they didn't commit because they opened their mouths!

@mojothemigo, perhaps in a civil case where the homeowner takes out a Private Prosecution against the POS Plumber, Because the burden of proof is a lot less in a civil case than a criminal case! The very wording "without a reasonable doubt" is a subjective opinion and the twelve people have to decide based on their own opinions, morals and ethics, this is where things get foggy, what I find wrong and revolting, you might find acceptable and normal, Opinions are exactly that, the feelings of the person who holds the opinions! A plumber with a bucket and quickset concrete is not unusual and they use it on a weekly basis for their job. How many other people entered the home during the timeframe? It's a toss of a coin! We seem to unanimously think that the POS Plumber put the concrete in the drains but we're not in Court hearing all of the evidence! What I'm saying is don't speak to the Police and your likelihood of walking away with your crime is higher BUT your likelihood of being fitted up with a crime, if you speak to the Police is also higher! You're innocent but you spoke to the Police and you are prosecuted for a crime that you didn't commit! If you've ever been in a Court, you'll know that it's a theatre, the Prosecution are attacking and the Defence are defending, you'll hear lies and accusations but in amongst the words, gowns, pomp and ceremony, the *TRUTH* gets hidden, added to that are the Opinions of the Jury! Nothing is Certain in a Court of Criminal Law!

Reminds me of what happened to my uncle, two guys followed him into the building, kicked his head in and left him for dead, he was left with permanent brain damage, if his neighbour hadn't seen him and phoned an ambulance, he'd be dead. They were seen entering behind him shortly before the ambulance was called and walking away briskly 5 minutes afterwards, someone told the police that they overheard one of them bragging about it. Guess what happened to them? Nothing, didn't catch them on camera, even though they were the only ones who could have done it, I mean who else? A neighbour or their guest did it and then hid in the house, they were there at the time and didn't stop it? Visiting someone for less than 5 minutes were they? Guys bragging about it, just hearsay? If they won't charge those two with an attempted murder, it hardly surprises me nothing happened. Guy watches a house burn with a can of gas and a handful of matches, still wasn't found out!

I heard of a plumber who walked off a job and hired a different plumber to connect city water after meter to existing Pipelines after new service was run. The customer agreed to pay the amount and signed a contract. After the work was completed the homeowner refused to pay. The owner of the company then came out with a pair of bolt Cutters and made it look like he was going to cut a live line . He also stated that there was no water connected upon arrival, and there would not be connected water upon leaving if the customer refused to pay. They said the customer paid them right away without hesitation. Can you say scare tactics

    • @ilovefunnyamv2nd
      @ilovefunnyamv2nd 3 года назад +1

you should probably fix your story, I think you're missing the part where the first plumber finished 99% of the job, just didn't turn on the water into the home, and homeowner refused to pay. The thing I don't like, is that doesn't pressure test the system, can't know the work is done and there are no leaks without water running.
Yeah I think I heard similar on reddit, but I've also heard stories where the contractor sub contracted out the entire job fpr less and basically got free money, until the homeowner asked why the never saw their boss/partner that they signed the contract with. In the end, they payed the 2nd contractor + tip and put a stop payment to contractor 1
