  • How to propagate syngonium - One of the most common of all aroids!
    Syngonium have become one of the most popular and readily available Aroids in the house plant market in recent years. They are super easy to care for in most homes, they don’t need a huge amount of light and as long as you don’t overwater them you probably can’t go wrong.
    In this video I’ll show you how I propagate all my varieties, but I’d be really interested to hear how you do yours? Does anyone use moss in a prop box? If so with what sort of success rate? Let me know in the comments so we can share the knowledge and good luck Propagating your amazing syngonium.

    I’m so obsessed these days with syngoniums lately since I started using Pon. I haven’t seen any videos by you lately. Hope you come back because I truly love your videos ❤

    I take tip cuttings and node cutting with arial roots and put them straight into the aroid mix I use (60/40 coco pear/chip and pearlite) (I also put the node with the growth point facing up). I then take any nodes that don’t have arial roots (usually the older woodier stems) and throw them in a big tub/tray with my second hand moss and basically ignore them. I found that most of them without roots grew eventually.

      Excellent tips. Of all my aroids I find syngonium prefer water over moss prop boxes. I’ve lost a few cuttings in moss but never in perlite and wster. I have a few huge prop boxes where I literally throw stuff in and don’t even label. The surprise in the future is awesome

    What are you spraying the leaves with? Not sure if you said what was in the bottle or if I missed it

    I was gifted an Albo top cutting and came across your video. I really like the perlite suggestion. Do you rinse your perlite beforehand?

    Love the video! Will the mother plant continue to grow as normal after you cut the top off?

      It grows exactly the same if not more. When you remove the top part (the apical meristem) it tells other nodes to come awake and start growing. It's how's to make a plant thicken up usually.

    WOW! Beautiful plants and very informative video! Does the Syngonium Wendlandii grows as fast as mojito or the white butterfly?

      @aroid_artist  10 месяцев назад +1

      Not for me. Very slow compared to my Mojito which is a weed right now.

    I bought a clipping of a syngonium, it’s currently rooting. How long do I have to wait before I can take my own clippings from it?
