Conheci Egberto Gismonti nos anos 80 e adorava sua música. Coloquei "Palhaço" no meu casamento. Hoje vejo e ouço sua genialidade.

What a unique and interesting voice he has on the instrument; the quick wide intervallic patterns are amazingly modern sounding, and the way people's tastes tend to gravitate towards more obvious tonality, I suspect it will remain modern sounding, just like Coltrane still sounds modern. The creative spirit is what stands out for me; fantastic imagination!

He has always been one of my idols, but I see having not heard him in a long time. I was very or too much objective about it. I mean, he’s a master of the guitar and the piano for me sometimes I do play a lot of the same things, but I always try to make things different and varied for a man like that who has that much technique on both guitar and piano, I’d be creating new works. I know his work very well. If he listen to what he doesn’t guitar there the technique has gotten way sloppy he missed a whole bunch of notes which I understand. Expressions is cool but he wasn’t playing like that before I saw him live about 2530 years ago and it was very clean and very well executed this performance Was just sloppy and a lot of the same things over and over again I mean there’s nothing really new. I was just saddened in myself that I hadn’t heard anything new from him experiment. He’s a very experimental guy, but he’s just playing the same thing and I still love him and appreciate that he’s done to inspire, but I was also very saddened to find that this is what I walked away from. I didn’t listen to the rest of it because, as I kept stopping and listening and stopping and listening, I heard the same thing over and over again. I’m really sorry, Egberto:(
