Great tip. Just a question though.... when using different types of vinyl, what do you do when your different types of vinyl require different temperatures (as per manufacturers instructions)? Will this impact the order you have to press things, or the amount of time you have press for?
Often there's a touch of forgiveness with pressing. Many people haven't used a temp gun like we do either to be certain their press is even accurate. If it were me personally, I would press my least delicate vinyl first. That way when it's pressed again, it finishes pressing as if the first were a tack press. -TRW Crystal
Great question, we love questions! The first layer was our HTV, ColorSpark Flash Reflect in Graphite: www.therhinestoneworld.com/colorspark-flash-reflective-htv?option=513428&redirect=1 -TRW Crystal
We have tons of videos showing how to design with more than one color htv. This is one of our older videos, but it's great to show how and why we design the way we do: ruclips.net/video/rDUWCr7wzSc/видео.htmlsi=w2yK2hCqRvuyNNQd This particular Mustangs shirt we did not record how we designed it. But, it's pretty easy. In our software, we'd just type the word in a nice thick font, like Impact. Copy or duplicate it and align them so they appear stacked. Weld the text so it is just a single object or layer. The Mustang head is from one of our TRW Mascot minipacks and we'd bring in the clipart, then create a magic boundary or contour, removing the shapes or vinyl behind that contour, so the Soft Holographic htv for the mustang's head is pressed directly to the shirt. Which vinyl cutter and software are you using? We have playlists for both Silhouette Cameo and Cricut users here on our RUclips channel. -TRW Pilar
This may have been a special design Matt created for a local school team. I usually tack press each layer and then do a final press because sometimes the carrier sheet leaves marks on the layers below.
Yep, that's a great hack! Thanks -TRW Pilar
I needed this so bad, thank you!!!
