He called it a reactionary criticism perhaps, just because it is written by a Maulana (Wahiduddin Khan). I assure you this book doesn't include words 'Allah' and 'Islam'. Iqbal convinced by the Hegelian dialectics thought that the final socio political economic system will be a synthesis of democracy and communism which is essentially Islam.
Marx was a great thinker but bbc conducted a poll in 99, it sounds like an event about a century back. His comparison with scientist is fair. He was a philosopher not a scientist. Then sir, you said in world still communist parties are in opposition and second biggest parties, few countries do have these parties in power or in opposition but overall this claim does not look true today. History tells us that once a system tested and then failed could not revive. Communism is tried and it failed to deliver Now its an other political system which is part of history.
