Texas Railroad Commission is a great example of positive behavior. In one sense, the RR Comm are like traffic cops in that they check your lease out for compliance with state laws. The fines they can inflict are minuscule compared to the repair of the situation; hence, seeing their pick up driving down the lease road can make you nervous. Three or four violations on a small "stripper lease" could consume a years profit. I was surprised how helpful they were to our oil company by offering advice how best to resolve the situation in a speedy manor. I was more surprised when visiting their office in San Angelo how they would take time out to explain the how, what, when, and where of the letter sent to our company. This way we could avoid any code violation before they sent out field inspectors. In return you wanted to buy the clerk lunch for all the excellent time saving help, but they never would accept a dime. You have to say hats off to the RR Comm President for job well done. This makes me long for the old days when traffic cops helped keep the public safe by helping motorist get it right.

I think you guys are wasting your time. While she should disclose her interest I think it should be assumed that she an interest in everything related to the votes on oil and gas. Also there are 2 others on the commission so her vote is irrelevant as long as those 2 vote together.
