Ahhhh, I just finished one piece, nearly done on another and learned a lot from them. I didn't seriously consider cutting each bead off/free though. On the flip side one part of my piece the (stringed) beads lined up consistently where as the mirrored side they sit in between the previous row. I see it, but don't think most people would. I've seen this piece on many different sights as an example of well done Mardi Gras bead art, it ! Knowing you hand cut and placed every one of them.....your either the most intense, compulsive and disciplined artist or your a wild man! Thank you for the video.
OMG, how beautiful!! I am wanting to make beaded pins to wear, as I have tons and tons of beads. Using left over beads as you have is such a neat idea. So I am trying to find ideas and or patterns that would fit with my idea. Thank you for your inspiration. I will take it and run with it!!
Hi Stephan, I love your work and have just seen the enormous record breaking French Quarter piece that is truly amazing, could I ask what adhesive you use to fix the beads? I'm a mosaic artist using mainly PVA for direct to substrate method but I don't think that would be ideal for glass bead work, will certainly understand if you'd rather not share what adhesive you use as I know how long it takes to experiment with various adhesives etc but still love your work, All the best
What are you using to take the beads apart? I am using scissors and a small bit of the thread is still there. How do you get rid of that? Ty for your help
Not sure about the curtains you speak off, but you can always purchase recycled beads at the ARC of Greater New Orleans or St. Michael Special School in New Orleans. Both organizations benefit students and adults with special needs. You dollars will do a lot of good :) Thank you for writing.
Oh, I thought I saw beaded curtains in the background at one point, sorry. LOL. You do beautiful work. I live in Florida so might be really expensive to ship to me, but I'll check it out. Thanks.
Simply stunning. Wow 😍
