It's so frustrating rewatching this given how much Aaron blamed himself for the crash. Jackson and Paddy pushed and pushed and pushed for Aaron to be honest about his feelings, and when he finally opens up about how messed up he feels, Jackson doesn't show an ounce of understanding and leaves. Then he crashes. Poor Aaron - screwed if he does, screwed if he doesn't.

This is even more heartbreaking after knowing what poor Aaron had to endure in his childhood

Amazing to watch this and see how much Aaron has grown. He knows who he is now. Danny Miller owns this character.

Man, the guy who plays Aaron is so good; I feel every word. The guy who plays Jackson, on the other hand, feels a bit forced. His crying face is too contorted, and idk - i don't really feel any chemistry between them. Maybe it's just me? I'm watching the current storyline (in 2017), and even though Robert is a prat, it feels a lot more natural. And Robert seems to understand Aaron in a way Jackson didn't.
For a bunch of different reasons, I don't think I'll ever watch this Aaron storyline in full, but man, does 18 year old Aaron remind me of my teenage self. I had a more stable family life than Aaron and a good support system, but this scene hits really close to home.
Aaron's just so young here. It makes me want to give him a hug.

I saw them both on a tv daytime chatshow (UK) explaining they were both just out of acting college, and both new to major roles, let alone a gay role.... so kudos to them both.... where has Marc gone though - loved him in this, has he given up acting (2018), only seen him in a few other things.. anyone have an update

I hated Jackson there. It was too soon! He shouldn't have pretended for Aaron to say"I love you" yet, and that didn't have to mean that he would never love him!

Like Robert now. You can tell he's been longing to hear those words from Aaron for a long time. Yet, he never pushed him to say them, he waited. And it was all worth it, when Aaron finally did. Jackson, should have done the same.

rewatchin late 2019, such good writing (for once), Aaron a lost soul... at 18 yrs so much to deal with. Gay suicide is so real, and here, understanding love.
I dont understand why ITV keep slapping copywrite restrictions on these years old eps, no-one cares now, its never going to be re-shown on tv, so why not allow the next generations of gay lads learn from this well written story (Aaron in his teens find love, understanding his feelings).
Would be great if the whole story could be told in a playlist without 'restricted eps' forcing us to search the web (yeah they are there, but by time you find them you've lost interest).... rant over...

If only they had made an entire movie about all three, Jackson, Aaron and Robert, it would be a gay classic like Brokeback. Jackson made Aaron grow up and Aaron showed bisexual Robert that it was possible and okay to love a man. I only regret they never had Aaron visit Jackson's grave after he met Robert.
