Summary: Still awkward with one another, Jackson is pleased when Aaron asks him on a night out. Paddy and Marlon also arrange a lads' night and tag along with Aaron and Jackson, much to Aaron's annoyance. The boys are amused by Paddy and Marlon's reaction when they realise they are going to a gay bar. To save getting a taxi, Jackson offers to drive. However, in a terrible twist of fate, disaster strikes later that night when they lose control of the vehicle and crash onto a train track. As an oncoming train smashes into the van, one man's life is left hanging in the balance. All four men get in the van that evening, but one man will be left in jeopardy. Will it be hapless Marlon who has finally found love with Rhona? Might it be Paddy who has been Aaron's rock throughout the trials and tribulations of the last year? Could it be Jackson who has just confessed the depth of his feelings for Aaron? Or will Aaron be the one to meet a tragic and untimely fate?
No copyight infringement intended.
That last frozen look on Jackson's face a second before the train hits him is powerful and frightening. Good call by the director and editor.
"I can still walk and talk." ..... How dare you, Emmerdale
Lol
E
Should never say things like that. Jinxing is a thing! 😲😛
Famous last words before disaster.
Danny Miller and Marc Silcock blew me away with their performances in this episode. They portrayed every possible emotion on screen and made it feel so real. Those final moments where Aaron is running on the road and Jackson is lying in the van and all you could hear is their breathing and the sound of the train coming - my heart stopped when the last thing you saw was Jackson's face as the train collided with the van. Definitely one of the most powerful episodes ever produced by Emmerdale.
If anyone watched this and didn't dropped a tear something is wrong...this scene was so great I don't even know what to say....I am just so moved right now....Aaron and Jackson were incredible...man my heart actually brike a little...I love them....
"I'm still here, I acn still walk and talk." Soaps really love their dramatic irony! I'm guessing he'll still be able to talk though because it would make storyline progression really slow if he was stuck blinking or using a tap board. Plus that conversation with Marlon about how he loves being a builder to set up the difficulty he's going to have being forced to change profession.
So well done. My thanks to the writers, actors, directors, producers and all people involved in this. Can't wait for the next days...
This has got to be the Brokeback Mountain for Great Britain and beyond. Aaron's character is legendary and long overdue , and it took this many years the industry to come up with one.
gahhhh why can't soaps be this mind-blowingly amazing in the US??
I can't even put into words how fantastic this is.
wow! amazing acting and writing. I myself was in tears. The ending - beyond speechless!
omfg danny miller is amazing! amazing actor.
aaron opened up and said he has never felt love before and so can't interpret his feelings of love towards his mum paddy and jackson, and jackson heard that as aaron doesn't love him. ugh ffs jackson
+nicola z I know right! If Jackson would have just listened to Aaron and tried to understand what he was saying, maybe things would have turned out different for both of them! Maybe the accident never would have occurred! But he was pushing Aaron and nothing but what he wanted to hear was going to be good enough! And what gets me is that Aaron had said to Jackson just before that, that Jackson was the best thing in his life! That says LOVE to me! That screams that Aaron loves him! So Aaron can't say it, so he's confused about what the word means! If Jackson would have been paying attention at all instead of just insisting on that particular word, he would have realized that Aaron did indicate that he loves him, even if Aaron doesn't really know that he does! And can anybody blame Aaron for not really knowing what Love is and what it feels like and what emotions and thoughts occur when it does happen! He was just 8 years old when his whole world fell apart, too young to really get what love was then, and then he is put through hell on earth for the next 8 years, living with someone for about 5 or so of those years that perverts the concept of Love in the worst way someone can! It hasn't even been that long that Aaron actually found people that even bother to care about him, let alone show him what love really is! And then there is the type of love between him and Jackson! Which he has never known before and is probably still very confusing to him, considering his past! I would say Aaron is dealing with this relationship pretty well considering how messed up his head probably is with regards to this type of relationship, sexual and with another male, after what his dad did to him! Plus Jackson's had more experience with relationships! He knows what love is and yet he didn't spot it at all, even though Aaron did put it right there in the open, just not in the way that Jackson wanted!
Jackson didn't want to listen to what Aaron was saying, how do you expect someone who's had such a hard time opening up to do it automatically. It takes time. It doesn't mean Aaron didn't love him, he was just scared, but now he's grown from this and had the courage to say i love you to Robert.
One of the biggest lesson's I've learned in life, is that to say to someone I love you and to really mean it, is to say it without expectation of hearing it back. If you love someone, declaring it should be unconditional. Also, when it comes to feelings like love, it's the actions that speak louder than words. Finally, as Aaron said, he's never really loved or been loved before, therefore he has absolutely no context for what he's feeling.
omg that was a really great episode!!!!!!! I love you, Jackson!!!
Alas, the Aaron curse never went away (Jackson, Robert, Ben)...
It's terrible to see Aaron live a tragic life like that all those years!
Three years ago today and I still tear up.
thank u so much, you have making my days, months, and this year bearable. love aaron and JACKSON, AND PADDI AND ADDAM AND EVERY OTHER ACTOR
All I can say is OMG!!! This episode was incredible on so many levels!!!! I'm speechless........
Danny Miller, you are so freakin good!!!!
The acting between the two men is just freaking incredible. Rips my heart out.
My jaw literally dropped to the floor. Wow this show really took it up a notch with this episode. Aaron was at his best and the angst in this storyline is driving me crazy. I feel so bad for Jackson though. He keeps sticking around when he knows full well his love won't be reciprocated any time aoon
7-star performance by Danny and Marc was equally impressive. Great script, great directing. This is why I love Emmerdale so much. This is the best episode ever!
Wow a-ma-zing the most emotional conversation they've had so far, Aaron finally opening up and the train in the end, great filming with just the sound of the steps and the silence, this is art, really
aaron is gonna feel guilty, he'll think it's his fault , it's not gonna resolve his issues already too numerous
OMG, this was the best episode ever. And I'm sure it'll only get better from there. Poor Aaron, knowing that he sort of caused Jackson's accident will be really tough on him. He could either shy away even more from his feelings or become very honest, it could swing both ways. Both AMAZING performance, and AWESOME filming. It really had cinematic quality for a second you forget that you're watching a soap!!! :-D Emmerdale is DEFINATELY the best!!!
this episode just went from awkward to hilarious to lovey-dovey to upsetting to heart-wrenching, heart-breaking and finally just plain shocking; at the end the feelings are just all over the place. a superb episode with some really powerful scenes and fantastic acting ! ... pretty cool
oh my god! the acting is superb!!!! these two guys are great!!!!
Oh my goodness that was just devastating. Wonderful acting from both parties (and the comic relief of Paddy and Marlon). I think Danny Miller just ripped my heart out. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I got chills.......AMAZING!!!!
best soap ever
This night was awesome! In the first part you sat there laughing, although having the thought back in head that something terrible was going to happen, and then watching the other part was heartwrenching and horrible to watch... I just would have wanted them to have done the jump-cuts a bit better because with all the hopping forth and back removed the tension and the panic that should have been there.
I am still crying everytime i view this...
heartbreaking ..just heartbreaking !
11:22. The moment Jackson's life changed forever. It should never have happened.
OMG
The line im still here, i can still walk and talk or something. Sounds so sad if you know whats gonna happen.
Danny Miller is sooo good at crying. Whenever I see his eyes watering, I just get a lump in my throat. It's just sooo realistic.
Great acting.
Ohh Kimba... have I said I love you today? Well, I do. THANK YOU so much for the uploads.
I left work running today to watch this. I think I'm kinda sadistic because I'm watching it over and over...
Guess I will be rushing out of work a lot for a while... Beijos!!!
This was great! It seemed, hell, it was of movie quality. Danny did a fantastic job, but so did Marc. It took both actors to make the scene great! It just kept building and building, and the pay off is sooooo worth it. Can't wait till the next episode!
Wow boys I'm speechless I could practially feel your pain. This is by far the best Aarson episode. How am I going to be able to sleep now...
emmerdale fans should be very proud :D..I know i am...All the actors did an amazing job :D...Especially Marc and danny!!
The foreshadowing in this episode is brilliant.
When Jackson says " cause you don't love me" I die! What an amazing scene. These guys are terrific!
wow....amazing..sad capturing yet beautiful ending
Finally something great.
I mean the storyline.
Best episode ever.
Not the accident part~
wow! totally speechless. Today was the first time in a long time that I really felt them. The emotions were so raw, and Danny/Mark were outstanding. Aaron does feel something for Jackson but since he's so messed up he has no idea what it is, and that devastates Jackson "I never had you." waaaaaaah! then Aaron's "you got me!" as J drives away. Then complete heartbreak at the end.... can't wait for tomorrow.
WOW..what a difference a half a world apart makes... I went to sleep and wake up to a major convo that I MISSED!
:P
But this scene is so wow! I just wanna hug Aaron and Jackson :)
Nothing Aaron said warranted Jackson leaving him to get in the car. he poured his heart out to you numpty, he gave you the honesty you wanted Jackson!
omw omw totally into all this drama happening here..... i really hope jackson is going to make a full recovery, and poor aaron always has to realize things the hard way... i love these two
OMG... Aaron is an amazing actor...someone's who 19 only and can already act that well and that real!! Every words that Aaron has said breaks my heart because it's really hard for him to tell jackson that he wants to be with him so much because the feelings are so strong that a person like him doesn't know how to deal with it. An emotional/heartbreaking scene where both jackson and aaron crying a lot and this sucks because two person are in love with one other but one chooses not to move on:(
The ticking noise from the stoplight is haunting.
I think it's about feeling that you what to be validated in a relationship, and when a person tells you that they "don't know' how they feel about you, know matter if the other person has a valid reason for not knowing how he/she feel, it hurts knowing that you are the only one that truly know how to express yourself through words and feelings, and the other person that you love has absolutely no idea the how to recognize what love really is because they never felt before from anyone.
danny miller is soo amazing i cant describe it in words
Oh for fuck sake these things make me cry so much
Great episode! They executed that very well! I don't know if this show is comparable to American "soaps" ... but if it is, it blew them out of the water. Great artistry, acting, and action. Very believable. Bravo! Now let's hope for the best :-(
I honestly cried. Still am.. please don't die..
OMG that was heart wrenching. That really got to me This was the best scene ever and can't wait till next ep
THIS IS WHY I LOVE EMMERDALE!!!!! This is the best ever episode of a soap!!! Galad to see Danny Miller ais finally getting the awards he deserves!!! And finally Emmerdale some recognition and Marc Silcock really stood out in this too!
Everyone raved about the EE explosion a month ago, I dont watch EE but saw a clip of it and does not pale in signifinance as it was dreadful and cringeeworthy.
This was like a blockbuster movie, esp the last 5 minutees!!
i am in total awe!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!
I'M SPEECHLESS!!
:O
:'(
This Episode was amazziing :O...jeez danny miller just keeps getting better n better..His acting is just sooo real!!!.....Danny Is the best Actor iv seen :O..He shoulld really win an NTA!
4:40 is the question that Aaron asks to himself on the episode where Zak pushes him near the wall of Jai's house after he threw a stone at the door window.
this i fuckin beautiful.i can not believe how much of intensity they put here. before i truly thought Aaron and Jackson were boring.but here they made me understand that every relationship has his own life.fuckin amazin these actor.thank you so much for the videos.
First off we must not forget this is a drama. If you look at all the reactions of the viewers it is clear the show knows what it is doing. If you look objectively, this episode begins one of the best dramatic stories ever created. The producers actors etc are not psychos or homophobs. You dont have to agree with the specific aspects of the story. That's not the point. Emmerdale has given us all the privilege of being moved by and witnessing three brilliant and phenomenal actors give performances that transcend the medium. They have moved and affected us all, even 5 years later. "That" is what great drama can and does do.
i love jackson
and everything but he wanted to get the truth from jackson
but he wanted the truth that he wanted to hear....
i mean i can understand where he is coming from
but for aaron to express so much truth and feeling that such a big step for him
and must have been so hard for him
and in the end he learns the truth doesn't make things better
but i still love jackson .... he is amazing
@AlanRM1000
Yes
i was mentioning this to someone else... when he cries.. actually when they both act it makes their character believable.. and you know exactly the emotion and the thoughts behind that emotion as they act.
KUDOS to the actors!
Wow im speechless.
*schocked*
What a powerful scene. Wow!!
I just don't have words!
every time I see this scene, I just can't stand it.
My heart even stops when Aaron says no in response to Jackson.
The last second scared me to death! I didn't watch any of the previews, so I wasn't expecting the train to smash into the car. OMG, the acting in this episode was phenomenal, especially from Danny Miller. And the cinematography was brilliant too. I don't know how Aaron will survive this if Jackson dies, which he better not. The one time Aaron opens his heart and bares his soul, fate shoves it in his face. I hope this opens his eyes about what is truly important.
This... this still makes my heart bleed ❤💔
Jackson loves Aaron, calls him his boyfriend, then breaks up with him but then he drives off. Aaron doesn't love Jackson but tells him that he's "got him", and he is clearly emotionally invested in the relationship based off his reaction to the crash. Such complex characters...to quote Aaron, it does me head in.
"I'm still here, I can still walk and talk"
"Everyone that gets close to me always ends up getting hurt"
"That's rubbish"
Oh lads.... I'm so sorry
This scene really breaks my heart. I don't know who I should be angry or sad with (Aaron or Jackson) I love them both. The both of them have their own personal trial in their lives and with each other. I feel more compassionate to Aaron because of the youth of his experiences with love and feeling the birth of his feelings is such a personal struggling trials. He did not grow up with caring parents who can introduce the idea of feeling for him; but I also feel compassion to Jackson also.
Emmerdale always has these moments that completely rip my heart out. And to make it worse, the crash is like they're grinding it into the ground. I mean, I was already devastated enough by the whole heart to heart, and now this?? Argh. I don't know why I'm such an angst junkie.
Anyway, Aaron and Jackson have just upped to a whole new level for me. Everything in their conversation just killed me. And Danny and Marc...incredible, dammit. Incredible.
watching this again in retospect is the worst/best, all these one liners... "anybody that's ever got close to me ends up hurt" "I can still walk and talk".... I mean seriously emmerdale, talk about adding insult to the injury that is Aaron's life and Jackson's impending injury lmao
my heart just stopped!!
wow everyone is working overtime on this one - brilliant - the writers are so good and they have such great actors - the words just flow out of Danny's mouth like perfection - he is so good - he has the best tears - I can't believe he is 18yr old - what a future in acting. I can't wait to see how they mature Aaron's character - how long will they take to get the thug out and what will they replace it with and keep it real.
brilliant acting! i definitely believed the intensity of the chemistry they had...it's certainly devastating towards the end and i can't wait to know what will happened to Jackson...
* jsut ignores the negative coments
That was briliant and looking forward to Hazel's reaction and about the future news with this storyline
danny miller great acting about sharing your emotions , jackson and danny building a close friendship
Clive first, now Jackson. Please let my tears dry before giving me another broken heart.
Now everyday aint gon' be no picnic
Love aint no walk in the park
All you can do is make the best of it
Can´t be afraid of the dark
Just know you´re not in this thing alone
There´s always a place in me that you can call home
Whenever you feel like we´re growing apart
Let´s just go back to the start
Anything that´s worth having
Is sure enough worth fighting for
Quit is out of the question
When it gets tough gotta fight some more
my heart is broken
Danny better have his mum clear off a space on the mantel for another award.
@frankduke2
HERE HERE!
They wont ever be satisfied and its sad really... I agree with you .. they gave the most awesome performance to date and I believe they should BOTH get an award for their take
This was some Final Destination shit right there. Surprised they put a character through that and he still lives afterward.
+Donald Samuels Finally someone speaks truth.
They should bring Jackson back. Formulate some story, he wasn't really dead. They did with Kathy in eastenders. Aaron would always be happier with him. They let their relationship be too short. It was unfair to make Aaron feel happiness, someone who loved him then make him so sad after Jackson died. He was so sad and angry again like before he met Jackson. You can see Jackson's heart breaking when Aaron can't say he loves him but even later Aaron always comes back to him because he did love him
ughhh so much work
I don't know what to say my mouth is still open from that. OH MY GOD!
I saw the title and thought it referred to the relationship...was actually really surprised by the actual train crash!
Danny Miller is such a terrific actor
Is this episode a tribute to Kylie Minogue too?
...I...don't know what to say...I'm completely speechless...
If you think about it, this episode had so much foreshadowing. Or maybe I'm picking up on it because I know where this storyline leads to.
Aaron always begged Jackson not to end the relationship but was triggered by him saying he loved him why? He didn't need to say it straightaway. He obviously cared about him. So saying he didn't know if he'd ever feel it probably made Jackson think he shouldn't carry on. But he didn't need to run off when Aaron didn't say the word. He could have given him time to say it. He would eventually
i have no words..........
Marlon and Paddy look a little drunk. Like how they are like all emotional for eachother when they are snockered!
oh ok good to know Final Destination and Emmerdale have always been good friends.
04:05 nobody will ever come between us ever ever.....*man walks between them* ever. LMAO
This was an amazing episode. Dannny and Marc acting was beyond amazing. I feel so sorry for Jackson. Aaron need to get himself together before he can be really commited to someone in a relationship. I do not think Jackson is going to die.
Aaron Cant Say He Doesnt Know If He Loves Jackson Cause How Yu Could See His Heart Breaking When He Heard The Crash Said It All. This May Be Tragic, But This Is What Aaron Needs To Realize That He Is In Love For The First Time.
As fucked up as Aaron is, I so wanted he and Jackson to work out. I know it's only a soap opera, but watching this for the 3rd time, I still well up with tears, The acting from both young men is great!!
