You have inspired me to go through my stash and sort into different size cuts. I found and matched enough 1 yard cuts to make about a dozen lap quilts. I have 2 of your books, and can't wait to get started!
Wow love your mind .Its so hard, part of me wants to jump up and start a quilt the sensible part says "watch more video" Sometimes easy is best and as a new quilter my mind is now running with must do patterns .inspirational 3 yard ideas.thankyou soo much
I do not ordinarily like Kaffe fabrics, they seem to mess with my very orderly mind. However, the way Donna uses his fabrics makes absolutely beautiful quilts, bold, beautiful but with order. Donna shows that her patterns are fabulous with any fabric. Another great tutorial!
Sew Yeah Quilting out of Las Vegas has been promoting all your patterns. They had a quilt drive and suggested your patterns. They now sell pre-matched 3 one yard cuts just for this purpose. Everybody loves your patterns!
That's is awesome! We appreciate all the shops which now carry our patterns and books and encourage sewing enthusiasts to visit their local shops. They do such a great job supplying your needs! Donna
I've been watching your videos and love them. You are inspiring and teaching some good info and taking away some of the fears some have. Love 3 yards...easy peasy. No precuts, just 3 simple yards. It's a great thing.
I am so excited the Kaffe Fassett fabrics have made their way to you, Donna. I have been saving my "spendables" so I was able to buy 5 of the kits you are showing in this video. I got Bold Blocks (2:33), two of Easy Street (30:00), Town Square (38:20), and Button Box (43:43). Whooohoooo! I also added one other beautiful kit from fabriccafe.com and will be receiving 2 FREE books - Fast & Fun and your new Quilts in a Jiffy. I already have your book Easy Peasy so I have every pattern I need to make these amazingly gorgeous quilts. I am thrilled - last month I bought your most exquisite Captivating kit to make for my sister and Fast & Fun 3-Yard Quilts' has a pattern that will be incredible with Captivating. You had suggested Byzantine Door and I agree that it would be gorgeous, however, the first quilt in Fast & Fun is screaming to be "Captivated"! Thank you for everything.

Hi Donna, I remember my first experiences picking out fabrics for a quilt, it was overwhelming! Once we started publishing 3-yard quilts I found that many could identify with that. Glad you are enjoying the process now! Donna
Love these patterns. I bought a lot of downloads. My aim is to make a big ding in my stash. Luckily in Australia we have a metre instead of a yard so we have a little extra to play with.
Do you have a particular web that let's you select the cotton material you like. Telling all specks with lengthh cost etc. what of your 10 inch cake square

Hello, Donna! I usually gravitate more towards muted colors, so I never usually give much thought to Kaffe fabrics, but you have changed my mind! I LOVE the way you coordinate fabrics and you did an incredible job with these fabrics! I’m constantly amazed at how a change in fabric can give the same pattern a totally different look. I can’t wait for your new book! Thank you so much for everything!
Hi Cheryl, We do ship to Australia, but the postage is rather high. We also have some downloadable books and many downloadable patterns. Check it out here. www.fabriccafe.com/patterns-and-books-s/1817.htm
How much yardage do you need for a full size quilt? Your instructions don’t cover that size. Very informative videos by the way. I’m a first time quilter and have ordered four of your kits.
So glad you enjoyed the video! A full size bed can usually be made with 3 kits, or 9 yards. Because twin and Q/k are the two most popular sizes, I chose to only give those instructions. Donna
Hi Mary, Fussy cut is when you select the area you want to cut exactly like you want it to appear in a quilt block. With 3-yard quilts I waste as little fabric as possible. I do not plan for fussy cutting because there is more waste fabric when you use that method. Donna

You would die if you had to buy quilting fabric in Australia - at least $28 per metre (not that much more than a yard)😱 You also often have to pay even more for fabrics like Kaffe’s. So many quilt shops have gone out of business in the 15yrs I have been quilting, as no one can afford to buy fabric, however much they love the craft. Buying from the US is no longer as attractive as it was (even though your fabric is so cheap) because of exorbitant postage costs. Then there is our terrible exchange rate - we need AUD$1.30 to buy USD$1!! Love your channel🥰🥰🥰
I'm so glad you enjoy our channel. It must be difficult dealing with prices like that! And yes, postage is continually climbing. Although, we can't do much about those prices, we do have downloadable patterns and books you can purchase at www.ETSY.com/shops/fabriccafe. that might help a little.
@@FabricCafe Thank you, I am definitely going to purchase some of your books (whatever the postage is!) as I love your concept and LOVE, LOVE the quilts. Do I need to buy all 3 kits at the same time to get a free book or is it accumulative?
Hi Donna, the offer is for three purchased at the same time. Donna
What do you do for backing?
We usually use three yards of regular 44/45 inch wide fabric. check out our free backing instructions at: www.fabriccafe.com/Free-Goodies-s/1916.htm
I live in Australia how do I get your books or patterns thanks

Pretty sure the videographer is her son and he’s focusing on what she’s talking about such as the book or fabric being discussed.
