Now that’s a solid way to end an album, a fucking 11-minute epic… The only other song I think was this song was their Mercyful Fate medley on Garage Inc. and I love it, this was dope as hell
The opening o f 72 Seasons sounds like Mercyful Fates A Dangerous Meeting, which is actually from a good record, unless Metallica's post RTL, or TBA, crap, depending on a point-of-view.
Those guitar harmonies on the second half of the song are so damn catchy, new album has grown on me loads after multiple listens. Love the Sabbath vibes they've been going for intentional or not
Yes yes yes. Southern rock has some incredible guitar and solos. Love to hear them do green grass and high tides by the outlaws. Him and kirk trading off guitar solos 😍
My favorite song on this album is Chasing Light, but this song surprised me because of its length, thanks to Chainbrain for playing this song Matallaca forever
Also, I believe I mentioned it in the comments under previous vid, I'd like to tag this one as "Mistress of Misery", cuz it suits the lyrics more, I guess 😁
When you say the longest metallica song ever do you mean original metallica song or just all the songs they have because I'm just wondering since mercyful fate is 1 second longer lol just thought about it
I still think hetfield had more vocal range on Reload, he struggled with a song like fixxxer live recently as he doesn't have the stamina to hold those high notes over such long sections. Plus that was just before autotune which they've used since S&M excluding St. Anger. However he's definitely still finding new ways to articulate his voice and still touching on some new ground here
yes, for sure he has lost some range, and power in upper range. But he gained power in lower end (e.g. fight fire with fire, or house of the rising sun , halo on fire some parts). Still he sounds a bit better on the 72S than on DM for example (maybe more to do with production).

Man idk, these riffs are so simplistic and repetitive. Not for me man. Just major and minor scales they play note for note get boring fast for me. Kirk has done the same solo 100 times just in a different pattern.
@@Chainbrain Well those scales are the most used, of course. But Metallica doesn’t innovate on it. It’s just up and down scales with the low E or A in between. Go back to when Cliff and Jason we in the band. Things started out simple, but listen to Ride the Lightening and Master of Puppets. Look at And Justice for All with Jason’s Blackened riff. Just tired of these dad garage riffs. The new A7x album’s opening song is amazing. It sounds NEW. They got a new sound.
They just couldn't come up with a 45 minute record, with Skolnick or Gustafson to come in a lay down the solos. That would've been too difficult... FFS!

This song doesn't even feel like a 11 minute song, it's so well put together. I haven't heard the entire album yet but I think this one's my favorite
It's my favourite because of bias, Inamorata was the first song i learned 100% through on bass.
When James says “Not why I’m living” he sounds just like his young self
We have to clap our hands for the charters who did 72 seasons. It's so great we got all those songs so quickly. 🙏🙏

These songs have been fun to play and this song is my favorite from album
I’d like to see James do a southern rock project lol
Or an acoustic album
James covered a Waylon Jennings song and it sounds great ruclips.net/video/rbaXAV56e7c/видео.html

Legendary song
Really well done. Congrats
Verse riff is fucking so sick
Perfect time to release another Garage Inc 2 covers album since James vocals are on fire..

Best solo off the album

I think inamorata is unofficial Unforgiven IV
This song gives doomy sludge vibes and im all in for it.
This is their best album in a long time
Do you feel weird when you get to the lenny Kravitz riff?
ARE U GONNA GO MY WAY
Nah its similar but different!

That song really hit all the right notes…
re: James good voice supergroup chat... Get Hetfield and Jerry Cantrell back together. Their cover of Don't Fear the Reaper was cool as heck
Sure...the ALBUM will be in E-standard....but like the one chorus on one of the songs said, it will be performed live "one step down". :)
The music video for this one comes out tomorrow morning.
the video is so sad.
The first riff ITS more dificult that the last one rigth?
Hi, twitch chat!
hello from utubes
Reminder of old and new? Could have improved for Metallica sound that we remember from all albums, but is gamming

When you say the longest metallica song ever do you mean original metallica song or just all the songs they have because I'm just wondering since mercyful fate is 1 second longer lol just thought about it
Probably longest original
Mercyful Fate is not a Metallica song
@Chainbrain that's why I said original
@Chainbrain I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything by the way just wondered
Merciful Fate is not one song, it's a medley
My friend of misery
When this song came on my playlist I thought it was a Black Sabbath track lmfao

Meet the ghosts where I reside
Despite how they're abusing me
Lonely I will never be

Misery
She needs me
Oh, but I need her more
Misery
She loves me
Oh, but I love her more
Misery
She kills me
Oh, but I end this war
Misery
She fills me
Oh no, but she's not what I'm living for
Ricochets within my head
Conversations never said
Magnifying every thought
That familiar pain she brought
Seeps inside eventually
Misery loves company
Sullen, I created you
I suppose that I can end you too
She waits (She waits, she waits, she waits)
She waits (She waits, she waits, she waits)
