I have a suggestion: If you cannot print, take a screenshot of all the pattern pages on your ipad. this way it is so easy to find it on your device. I always do that, I never print.

I love all your shawls but your twist and turns is my favorite. ❤I made a twist and turns but I was disappointed with my colors. Your colors inspire me to make another one. It’s so beautiful 🤩

I love your podcast. But I gotta tell you you are just beautiful. I love your makeup too. I’m 46 and starting to get clumps of gray and I’m so excited. I really enjoy watching you too especially your misadventures sometimes you crack me up but you always make me feel better about my own misadventures and I’m even finding them kinda funny thanks to you. I haven't made a Steven West shawl, but I greatly enjoyed your review of the ones you have made. Color choices are so hard for me. I liked your purple skeins, but the greys will be lovely! I can't wait to see your shawl--and have fun in Spain!

Stephen, I love the design so far. I’ve been on grandma duty so I haven’t even started. I do not see a resemblance to that awful symbol of hate. Please do not take down this video as I plan to make the original version. Thank you. You’re a genius. Hugs and love from Deep South Texas.

I watched Stephen West video at 3:30am while prepping for a colonoscopy that day. Was pretty bummed I couldn’t start till the next day. Was finishing up color c on section 1 when the new clue dropped. Was easy to frog back. I didn’t notice the similarities when I first saw it in the wee hours of the morning, later I showed the finished square to my hubby and he said if you turned it you could see the similarities. I’m doing the Fireclay gradient from Life in the Longgrass. Splurged this year. Love the yarn and the warm fall colors. I did love the building of the first square but the new square does have a lot of individual options. I might put a lace section in it if I get brave enough! Linda enjoy Spain! Safe travels!💗💗💗

I love your color choice for this years MKAL. By now you've probably heard that clue 1 has changed. I decided to go with Stephen's test knitter Ines's design for clue 1. I'm working on the 1st section now. Work keeps getting in the way of my knitting.
Isn’t that true about work getting in the way!… but it does enable you to buy yarn❤️❤️❤️. Your shawl will be beautiful anyway you decide to knit it-enjoy!🤗

I can't wait to see your shawl with those lovely greys and the bling! I'm glad you still intend on wearing your Twists and Turns as I think it's so pretty on you with your colouring. Nicest version I've seen! Great podcast idea doing all your Stephen West shawls including all the adventures and restarts. It's very inspiring and helps to alleviate the pressure we put on ourselves to 'get it right' from the beginning.They all turned out so beautifully in the end! I've started my first MKAL! Yay! Ooo... I love the original colors of your "Christmas Shawl". They are my colors and I wear them sll the time. You can give me the piece you cut off. Lol.
Normally I love them too… but something about the way they knit up just was not quite right for me…. Still love traditional Christmas colours🤗

I am loving the knit and after much much much discussion and thought I have decided to continue with the original pattern. Yes! Drama. Who would've thought in a knitting design. I feel bad for Stephen West. He works so hard to make the MKAL fun. On a happy note, I can't wait to see your progress. Loved seeing your mom and hearing all about your trip. Enjoy!
My gradient is almost the same as yours, just maybe half a shade darker. This is my first Steven west pattern, and I was absolutely inspired by your twists and turns shawl to give it a try.

Can put the drama to the side and just enjoy the knit. Whichever way you decide to knit the pattern( original or revised) It will be a beautiful shawl - you cannot go wrong. 🤗
Ooooof your number 6 combination just snapped my heart in half -- in fact, an odd request: if you could bring yourself to destash those 4 skeins I would pay you, no questions asked. I searched Sweet Fiber and MadTosh HARD to try to source that exact combination, but a couple are missing. Would you be willing to destash if I make it easy for you?? (No rush, not for the West MKAL)

I confess, I've never liked the designs. I'm short (5' 1 1/2") and can't handle all that "stuff" going on in a single shawl. I knit a mystery shawl by someone else several years ago, and though I liked my colour choices, I didn't like the end result, and donated it to a Thrift Shop! I've two Stephen West patterns in my library -- both free, plain and simple. One is a scarf/shawlette that I've not made, and one is the Boneyard Shawl, which I've made and would make again. But these designs? You couldn't pay me to make one!
Thank you for watching Margaret🤗 I totally see your point.. some of the shawls I categorize as “Art”-lol meaning… fun to make but not 100% wearable. That said… the MKAL fun for me is due in large part to all the new techniques and design elements I would not otherwise ever love exposed to. From a wardrobe stand point I too prefer his more plain designs❤️
