    This dashcam is punching well above its weight.
    Great value for the price.
    Would recommend you also purchase the addition lense to reduce glare.

      Yes I would agree, the CPL filter is a must on any dash cam.

    I use the 512GW Nexbase 4K camera although I have it set to 1080p as it captures more frames (60) per second which gives a better quality overall.

    Good video....I used your code to get my E1......many brilliant things about it....quality of video really great....in fact so good , I did make a mistake by putting in Samsung evo select card 256gb on advice from Vantrue....it was absolute rubbish !! it wouldn't record loops at all...missed out so much recording so that went back and I used Sandisk High Endurance which Vanrue said wouldn't record loops....it does and never misses a beat.....so much for Samsung !!! I've had Nextbase dashcams for years now...512GW and 412 GW in use until the E1.........E1 is so tiny and superb so far.....I put the Polarising filter on as well having always used those on Nextbases and find they make such a difference....running my E1 off a power bank as I am not a lover of a hard wire fitting...thanks again for the code.

      Thank you! I'm glad you like it, I was very impressed with it. I've always used Sandisk SD cards for my dash cams, I did notice that Vantrue doesn't like them but that's the only SD cards I have (from previous dash cams) so just ignored it. I always found Nextbase dash cams were rather big so I have moved away from them. A polarising filter is must for dash cams, as you said it makes a big difference. Never thought about the power bank before, thats sounds like a great idea as I'm not sure about hard wiring as i would have to pay someone to do. How do you have it setup & what power bank do you use? Thank you!

      @@K9DashCams I used my nextbase on power bank for years to save routing wires etc.....I have a Skoda Yeti and it has a sunglass holder over the rear view mirror which is useful for housing the power bank, I have been using a Bonai 5000mah PB011705L05C which is about 4 inches long and it is cylinder shape & has one usb outlet...charged by a lightning cable (iphone) cable comes with the Bonai....I've used it for a 3 hour journey and no problems, Vantrue told me to use a 20000mah power bank....but again..have they tried the E1 on a power bank ?? the E1 consumes 480 ma which I had considered the bank capable of running the E1.......I do have photos of the basic set uo but I don't think this reply allows me to attach photos

      @@mickyhifi Thank you for getting back to me. I was thinking of using a power bank when I park the car up, the Octavia 12v socket is always on so it means I can leave the dash cam on all the time apart from when on the driveway I can unplug it but 1 time the dash cam was left on all weekend & it drained the car battery flat meaning on Monday morning the car wouldn't start & the Citigo, just had to replace the battery this year due to age & not sure I want to hard wire it. I'm hoping to get another car next year which would need a 3 channel dash cam & it would need it to be on all the time apart from when on the driveway so power bank might be the way to go for that. yes this reply won't allow photos. Thank you, very help, I've now got another way of keeping the dash cam on all the time.

    • @mickyhifi
      @mickyhifi 2 года назад +1

      @@K9DashCams Yes battery drain is a problem which is why I chose power bank.....& stop start engines don't like the battery to be down but it does stop the thing turning the engine off if power goes down, I've left my dashcam on all night too but it's easy to charge a power bank rather than the vital car battery. Pity Vantrue didn't make a suction cup to stick the camera onto.

    • @K9DashCams
      @K9DashCams  2 года назад +1

      @@mickyhifi I personally prefer a sticky mount as suction cup keeps falling off in the summer, the Nextbase 402G I used to have drove me mad in the summer as it fell of a lot. Now I just have to deal with the Satnav falling off 🙂which during the heat wave we had was everyday!

    Good review 👍. Does it have a input port for a rear view camera - didn't look it? Wi-Fi connectivity to a mobile app - that's the part I have a problem with if it has to be connected to mobile phone to be able to use it! Thanks for sharing.

      Yep. That's what I saw too.
      It means it will have slower download and streaming speed on the App than a 5 GHz unit.
      But its oh so cute
      as a unit.
      I'm really tempted to get it.
