As an Australian Dutch girl I'm super used to mayo on my fries. We also do satay sauce, which is very Indonesian influenced, so if you want something delicious, give that a shot (if you like it) because it is SO GOOD.
Dude, Mayo on fries or some mayo based sauce is everything! So good, as always. You are doing a real service. People don’t go vegan bc they don’t want to give up “good tasting food”. What you do is show people they can have things that taste almost identical to the junk they love. That goes so much farther than lecturing people about animals or the planet or their health, for better or worse. The best way to evangelize: cook or bake for people.
This video is packed! I need to itemize my comment apparently. - Burger looks super good! I used to love this type of burger but haven't tried it in forever. - I love Omni pork's crumbles for flour tortilla tacos with some vegan pepper jack, been looking for more ways to use it. - The vegan mayo technique is genius! I never made it at home because of the emulsification pain but this is a game changer. - I just recently discovered deep frying frozen potato stuff (like tots) and yeah... It probably wasn't the best thing I've done for my health because now I can't go back to an air fryer.
I love how this channel focuses on veganizing the foods we grew up loving rather than just being about eating healthy or making fancy gormet dishes. Just good old familiar stuff.
Fantastic video. Thank you for including the homemade mayo. My family in Spain always made mayo in an immersion blender (what you showed) as needed and it looked so easy, but never tried it. Now that I've seen your vegan version, I have to try it. 🤩
Pulp Fiction is literally perfect!! I am so glad you did this. For a super wonderful recipe for fries try America's Test Kitchens---you start with cold peanut oil, dump the yukons into the cold oil, let the oil come up to a boil and cook for 15 minutes, stir only then, let it go for just 5-8 minutes longer and boom you got perfect fries. It's mind-blowingly simple and delicious, no double fry and freeze needed.
About an hour south of where I live there is a town that has stuff called white sauce it's essentially mayo with buttermilk it's pretty good still prefer fry sauce but if you're feeling adventurous or want to mix things up might be worth experimenting with.
Hi love your channel Oh when I was station in Germany we ate Mayo on our FF because wasnt a fan of german ketup Definitly try your version of mayo Thats Vegan since Ive been Vegan now over 18 years. Thank you vegan Burger Dude.
My brain came to a screeching halt at spicy sesame oil. I did NOT know that this product existed, and must find it posthaste. Once I registered that, the rest of the video had me drooling. You're a damn genius, dude.
I'm amazed your mayo thickened so beautifully. Must be the soy milk -- I'll have to get some. I made some yesterday using aquafaba (instead of milk) and it only got as thick as a creamy salad dressing; definitely not thick enough as may. It tastes absolutely delicious though. Do you think the soy milk is the key then?
The superior dipping choice for fries is obviously ketchup and mayo. Put them next to each other on the plate and you can have each on their own or mix them in the middle using your fries
I'm glad you tried mayo and fries! I really, really enjoy the combination! I have been dipping into mayo for many years, well before I made the switch to vegan! Steak fries are insanely good to use if you're into that. Your mayo came out quite lovely! I make my own too! Those fries are my go to for nostalgic shoestring fries! The So Delicious ice cream is pretty good! Big fan! I tried the Daiya Cheezcake last night, because my wife wanted that for her Birthday cake... cooked down some mixed berries to make a lovely topping. Really impressed with it! Overall I really enjoyed this video. I'm unlikely to try the Kahuna burger, I only like pineapple on a pizza... though I think I'll give the shake a go! I'll just have a royale with cheese instead! As always, I love your videos, Burger Man!
@@Uskotopo Are you in America? It is not a terribly common practice in a majority of the places I have lived. Living down in the South nowadays, I get all sorts of looks from folks when I use mayo as a fry dip. I am shameless about it!
I understand, like many well-known vegans, that this brand of sriracha is not vegan since it has sugars extracted from animal bones! If someone could clarify this it would be very helpful.
Heck yeah, those Ore-ida fast food fries are amazing lol. May I ask: How many times do you reuse your oil? I've been playing it by ear and I usually chuck my oil after 6-7 uses, but I'm not sure if I'm using it too much or too little. I usually use canola oil, which is pretty light colored, but after about 6 uses it ends up about the color of the burbon in your vegan shake and it makes me nervous lol.
@@TheeBurgerDude Thanks Dude. Oh, and I was wrong on my estimations last time. A cap full of vinegar is about a half teaspoon. You'd have needed 5-6 caps lol.
All of this looks so good. I wasn't a mayo on fries person initially, but I have become quite a believer! In fact, I have to make myself NOT do it as I don't want my waistline to expand any more than it already has.
This will be an epiphany… (2:1 canola oil to soy milk) in blender 1/2 cup soy milk and 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, in measuring cup 1 cup canola oil , garlic powder, onion powder and dry mustard to taste…. Pinch of Kala namak… add to blender, blend on high for approximately 6 seconds!!! I split this batch in half adding sesame oil and sriracha to half (to taste) for spicy Mayo and the other 1/2 is my go to Mayo for my vegan mayhem! You can also split the Mayo adding a bit of sugar and extra vinegar to make a “miracle whip” changed my life…saved me $$$ ps buy the shelf stable soy milk! Ready when you need it….hope you’ll try this!
Not sure which classic comedy duo Jack Rabbit Slims would associate with a cherry shake. Maybe "Lucy & Ricky" for Lucy's red hair. I'll stick with the classics "Martin & Lewis" (vanilla) or "Amos n Andy" (chocolate.)
Just made the mayo and it so tasty! Will definitely be making my own from now. Thanks for all the amazing content

The burger looked amazing. The vegan burger “meat” choices we have are outstanding! The fries and shake would be irresistible!

I’m a dairy drinker but the way you made a dairy free vegan milkshake was fascinating!
I may not try every single of your recipes, but I always try out the sauces. So far they've all been amazing
Damn dude.. you never fail to make me hungry for burgers. And daughter took the last Patty 😫 things we do for love
That's true love
You even got unintentional (I think) drippy drips on your milkshake! Bravo! 👏
In Austria we have 'Pommes Rot-Weiß' (Fries Red-White) - like our Flag 🇦🇹
Oftentimes topped with Curry Powder and small diced Onions 😁

Love it ! Love this channel in general. One of the only vegan channels that isn't just "healthy" food that doesn't taste good. Keep it up !
Everything looked delicious! Can't wait for your cookbook!
Superb, Monsieur! You are on a major roll, TBD! 😎
Mayo, ketchup, and honey mustard combined are the best dipping sauce for fries!
I am a sauce slut and will dip em in anything!!
Dude, you just made my day. I love pulp fiction
My favorite film and veganism coming together is just what I needed this week 🧳
Thanks for the recipe! Will definitely be trying this soon

You gotta combine vegan pork WITH vegan sausage. I mix soyrizo into my beyond meat burgers and chilli all the time. Gives it a diversity of texture
So you're telling me that Americans don't eat mayo with their fries??
That can't be true
Mmm hmm that is a tasty burger. You sir are a legend

TIL that people outside of the Netherlands don't dip fries in mayo

mayo and fries is my favourite!
Incredible ! I'm curious, how many burgers in a week do you think you eat on average, Burger Dude ?
Depends on if I'm working on a burger video, for this one I ate 3, but on average 1-2 I would say.
Yummy! I hope this in your cook by they when should be expecting that?
No the recipe is available right now on my blog! The majority of the recipes in the book are exclusive to the book!
Do you think it would ever be possible to make a vegan one pound burger aka Fuddruckers?
Yes! I’m wanting to master burger buns and then do those plus the potato wedge fries and cheese sauce one day hopefully soon.
Mmmmmm! This is a tasty burger!
I love this damn channel
So cool! Tnx ✌😁
Dutchies also love peanut butter sauce with their fries
how to make cutlets like these from scratch? They don't sell any of impossible or beyond products in my area

How long does the homemade mayo last? It looks like it would be cheaper than store bought plus it wouldn't have that weird eggy flavor.
I would say 3-5 days
Please do harley quinn's egg sandwich!
I just did a Bacon egg and cheese short!
I make a veganaise mayo with hot sauce and chipotle pepper dip for my fries. I would find mayo alone bland too.
That IS a tasty looking burger!

haha I'm actually surprised that it's not normal to everyone to eat fries with mayo because I never knew it was a Dutch thing (I'm from Germany)
