It’s the sad times we live in. I lived through the late 80’s crowds. Nothing is that good anymore. I just want to see bands I haven’t before

No mosh rules is a joke at a metal show.

The Rave has them all the time. I think they hand them out so they can avoid getting sued, if something happens. I’ve seen that same thing else where too. They know people are going to mosh. Honestly they probably worry about the country shows there more than the metal shows.

I still have some ticket stubs from the Rave when I was a kid. I remember them specifically saying “no moshing” on them. Nobody listened then, glad they still don’t 😂

The title of the yellow ticket says NO MOSHING however, on the reverse side it elaborates to something that you understand to mean it's okay as long as you aren't a dick about it.

I actually got 1 of those yellow slips day 1 but not any of the other days. it was funny people stuck them to their foreheads in the pit.

the only major schedule conflict I had during this festival was Casket Robbery playing the exact same time as Stabbing (I went for Stabbing's set). when Stabbing finished I went up stairs but Casket Robbery was already done.
edit: I stand corrected - the delayed start of Death to All caused me to completely miss Gatecrepper. but that Death set was something else!

My hometown, see why I left. Summerfest is pathetic too. I've seen everyone under the sun at the Eagles Club over the years. Can't remember EVER, paying more than the $10 dollar two drink minimum ticket price to see any bands there? Basically, you get in for free, but have to buy 2 drink tokens at the door. Bet its at least doubled now to $20, and sorry but SLAYER isn't on the bill. The mosh pits there for Slayer were always epic. Seen many a punk smashed brutally on the cold mable floor.

40$ Rave parking, 254$ one day reserved balcony seat(65$ tax n fees on top) long gone are the days you speak of. Yeah, the voucher days were really great now in hindsight. So many fans priced out for sure now. There was easily room for 1K or more attendees...Remembering 1st Tattoo The Earth this was very mild.

One day I bought two of the Cut Water margs with ice 35$. Everything after that was 12$ Bush lites.

That's all very depressing. Right now I'm out in MT. and the economy is soo bad out here, I'm contemplating coming back to WI. I'll be 57 this fall, and was hoping to be partially retired by now. There's at least some work there, but is it worth the hassle? Not with that kind of inflation.

Hell yeah, I remember seeing Slayer at the first Tattoo the Earth too, back in high school. It was wild. I left Milwaukee in 2012, some things I miss, but some I don’t
