    Hi Søren,
Good to see a video from you again and nice work on the top yoke.
On Tom's 501 engined Dart, we went with Mk1 Cagiva Mito forks and surprisingly the lower and downward sloping bars (that bolt directly into the side of the yoke) suit the bodywork very well, better perhaps than the originals.

I had the Mito Mk2 fork in my mind when first considering the conversion. Simply because of the "family relationship" - and the guy I got the fork from actually had one to compare with, but there was no doubt that the Aprilia fork was the better choice. They are very similar, but the measurements the Aprilia has are better suited for the Dart.
By the way, I'm also going to put a 501-engine in it some time in the future ;o)

Nice to see you again. I enjoyed the video and although it is now the end of January, I wish you the best as well. Nice job on the new, modified part. Nice build. That is one heck of a large chunk of aluminum. I liked the filing technique instruction, the cutting of the aluminum with a radial arm saw and the two blade hack saw trick was one I had never seen. Always learning! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the continued interest.
The roof is fine. I think the best way to describe it is like this: before I made it I worried about it every single day. After I made it I didn't think about it for a second - and it's still like that. It's such a big relief!
Happy new year to you too.
      Søren

Good to see you back on YT.
About the filing, it seems to be a european thing, the Yanks do it wrong (like most things) Only joking.
There is a well known Californian. who is known for his love of filing things. and, after being informed of the correct way now does it all the time. Shows they can still learn something from the Old World. :>)

      Thanks!
There's nothing wrong with other filing techniques. The result is what counts. It's just the easiest way to get a consistant result. And you get it with very little practice - simply because the file, or rather the movement of the file, does all the work for you. I also used to do it differently, but once I was taught the other technique during my apprenticeship I never "looked back". ;o)
