Dr. Glaucomflecken videos are great to watch twice. First is watching the video, the second is watching a doctor react to it. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for making the video!
That was a very good video! Its good to see a surgeon who can laugh at himself but knows that he won't be changing his work habits because he loves what he does.
He is human after all. He yearns for quality time with family. Unfortunately, his long and unpredictable working hours take up a big chunk from that. But that's part and parcel of being a neurosurgeon. I'm sure he does his best to strike a balance between work and family.
@@DheerajMasapu I’m icu RN for 30yrs at many teaching facilities. My heart always broke for the docs. Brutal hours! We all need some work life balance!! It’s seems to me that healthcare might be one of the few careers that frowns upon self care. I think better patient care would result. Thanks for your commitment!
Thank you Denise for understanding the struggle that doctors are undergoing. At the end of it, we get the real happiness if the patient recovers well and goes home happy. Thanks for making some time and typing the comments in this channel.
I know this is a silly question but why does neurosurgery have the most emergencies? And why do they happen at night? I thought they do rare brain tumours and separating conjoined twins?
It's a spectrum of diseases, ranging from emergency cases to complex brain tumours. It's not a rule that emergency happens in the night, they can happen any time. Stroke has a higher chances in the early morning due to some reason.
Your friend barely looks old enough to be a doctor. It is probably the youthful smile. Too bad no one ever sees it because he is always masked up for surgery.
