    Nice video.
    I recently purchased the 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport-L. When compared to a RAV4 in the same price point these were some of my reasons to go with the CRV Hybrid Sport-L vs the RAV4 ESX.
    1. RAV4 is being redesigned and I didn't want to be in a old design a year from now.
    2. Seats are leather trimmed. RAV4 has SoftTex no leather.
    3. Parking sensors, the RAV4 doesn't unless you add an expensive upgrade package.
    4. Qi charger. RAV4 doesn't have it unless you add a higher tech package.
    5. 8 speaker sound system - RAV4 only 6 unless you upgrade to the higher tech package.
    6. Power Passenger Seat. Not in RAV4 unless you add a higher tech package.

    OK.... I own the '23 Sport Touring Hybrid. This would be my 3rd CR-V. Honda makes a great vehicle in theory, and that's why I've owned so many. However, there are always things Honda conveniently leaves out, that twist up the loyal Honda customers. No Homelink garage door opener ($350, took 4 months to get the new mirror that has it). No cargo cover. (They were included with all my other CR-V's. I don't know where yours came from!) The dealership swears that the seats are leather. The screen is less than most other competitors, and firmware updates are all but non existent. The charging pad for the phone is wonky, at best. Wireless CarPlay has glitchy software that at times, needs a restart. It's good to have the onboard GPS (actually uses satellites), because the mobile phone people are not always that reliable, and towers are sometimes sparse. This thing has paddle shifters!! What the hell do I need with paddle shifters??!! (and, I did confirm that they are paddle shifters, and not some way to just invoke the charging system. The braking does that) This is a hybrid, not a Ferrari! And finally, there is NO SPARE TIRE!! I didn't find this out until I I watched another RUclips video that concerned this. I have achieved 42.5 MPG during the summer, playing with it. In the colder weather, you will get more like 34-36 MPG. Thanks for the video!

    But this is my opinion positive about the car: space, smooth drive, quiet, mileage is good. Exterior looks great, interior is ok.
    Negative, in my opinion: sticky steering, middle where the shifting is, looks cheap, for the price ventilated seats shifting be included for the front, back should have heating in touring. Please, please, please - stop saying it has a CVT (eCVT) transmission. It does NOT. The only versions of the CRV that use the CVT transmission are the non-hybrid versions.
    You produce a good review and video and spoil it by demonstrating your lack of knowledge about the vehicle.

    • @DrHondaCRV
      @DrHondaCRV  5 месяцев назад +2

      I know it’s an Electrically variable-speed automatic. Honda calls it a eCVT in the manual. It still drones like a CVT at steep uphill drives.
      Im keeping it in laymens terms for the people. It’s its own thing, and not easy to understand as a CVT.
      Im not a mechanic or car engineer. Just an owner review. The point wasn’t to detail the transmission specifics, but to comment on the sound.

Essentially the same issue that I had. The dash warning lights will start flashing while driving on the highway and it will tell you to pull over and stop immediately. Take it to the dealership only to find out the engine suffered a catastrophic damage. Bent rods, scored cylinder walls, etc...
