" Whatever you do ........ don't look down ". Yesterday's episode needs some lovin ruclips.net/video/poWPG4tGFJk/видео.html
I love Uranus.
I've been on the lookout at the Empire State Building but not sure if I could do the arch. Looks a little too scary, I have a little fear of heights. Great vlog.
This was a good video, but sure would have liked to have seen more of the Devil's Elbow Bridge.
I keep saying it visit the city museum did you?
TheDailyWoo Scary ,I don't think I could go up there. Thank you Adam . Stay safe and have fun
The wonka song was perfect! Gene Wilder would be proud! It did look like a space capsule. Loving these videos Adam. Keep having fun and safe travels!
This video is awesome. I didn't even know you could go in the arch! Holy cow!
Yes you can from a St.Louis native.
@Lil Stankbooty hey plz don't say the pp word it makes me shid my pant.
Hee hee, Jacob's face when he joined in singing. He was enjoying it.
The Pepsi sign was one of a pair = the other sign would have said "A Pepsi Break Makes Sense"
You two may have the only Arch Kareoke! Awesome place to finally do it!
Thank you for taking us with you and the bagger. Great job. Rock on.
That Electrolux vacuum shown just as you said "Electrolux" brought back memories. My mom had one of those back in the 50's.
Jacob's wearing my new shirt!! Today was the first day I wore my new Woo swag... I checked into my hotel in Bristol, Tennessee and wouldn't ya know the lady at the front desk recognized it, and we chatted about Adam and Jacob for a few minutes. Good times!
@4:32 I love that sign! and those teepees are awesome
Tampa Jay yup
I live in St Louis! Had no idea you were here. Yeah, the Arch is wild, especially those eggs (elevators), as we St Louisians call them. 😉 Cheers! 🍻
Chris Thompson same
I never new it was hollow so that's neat
My dad calls the elavator system itself, the sandwich.
Woo, Kirby! I sold them, own 1 myself, and continue to celebrate the brand at every opportunity. I stopped working at the dealership only because it got shut down due to tax evasion. A quality machine that will last a lifetime. It really says something about a product that hasn't advertised in a little over a century, yet still sells everyday at premium prices.
Thank you Adam, love the Arch a real marvel of science!
Those elevator pods are much nicer and faster than the creaky old cage pods that took forever. The view is still well worth it
When I was a kid, I thought the Arch elevators were like giant eggs, like the one Mork from Ork came to Earth in.
That rickety elevator ride to the top of the arch looked terrifying.
Majestic , simply Majestic!
I went here in 2016 and the guy who owns the museum gave me a carpet sweeper from the 1880s
I went on there today I was screaming and my whole class went too,My whole class was screaming when we were going up!
The elevator was there from day one, you never had to walk stairs.
Yes, the stairs are for maintenance.
I’m old enough to remember a time when the elevator wasn’t there.
Chiz Dippler During construction I mean. The tram was there when it opened to the public. Thank you for sharing.
The stairs are open to the public? I thought you had to take the elevator.
@@DoctorSkillz the stairs actually went in after the elevator. It's easier to modify stairs on site if something didn't fit then it is to modify an elevator. They built the stairs around the elevator
I wish a major network would pick up Adam and Jacob, you have both taken us to so many wonderful places , and remained family friendly. Well, Unfortunately you guys probably have too much class for today's television. We have so much enjoyed traveling with you,God bless.
Always wanted to go and check the gateway arch out! Thanks for being me along Adam! Safe travels.
I live in Ireland and have learnt a lot about America from your posts,I especially like when you visit Texas it’s seems like the most American part of America if that makes sense,I even scream the daily woo after my morning coffe,my wife thinks I have gone mad
The western US gets most of the publicity and exposure because of cowboy movies. Next on the fame list is New York City and a distant third is Florida, but most of America is just rural farm land. The largest topological feature is the Great Plain, which lies between Ohio in the east and the Rocky Mountains in the west, Texas in the south and north into large parts of Canada, too.
This trip down Route 66 is so AWESOME. Those roadside museums and exhibits offer such
interesting and diverse subject matter. Sad that your journey will be ending soon.😟😧😵😥
You and Jacob have made fantastic tour guides, Adam ....walkavator😁😄😃😉
so Adam the Woo...
About to get stupid real here. 6 years ago I became bound to a power chair as I have Muscular Dystrophy. My relationship with my father has been strain in recent years as he is a viet nam veteran and was subjected to agent orange in viet nam in 1969. My sister is developmentally disabled and am physically disabled. My father has always blamed himself and its been difficult for the family. I have watched your videos for a long time now and must say that your adventure on Route 66 has inspired me to do the same thing but with my father as he is now 70 and I am 43. God bless what you do for people, you are an inspiration for many many people, thank you for that. I wish you the best in life and thank you for what you have done for mine.
No joke. I'm actually the tour guide in this video. Glad you guys had fun!
For a real adventure you guys should have gone over to East St. Louis, IL at night.
😂
Lmfao
NO! Just no!
Yes the fella's in east St Louis IL would of made you feel right at home. You definitely want to bring some extra spending money with you when you go there next time.
I missed the exit and went across the bridge and took the first exit to go back. Not a good choice.knew right away. Was happy to get back across to north st louis. And that was no place to be either.
Well this was a cool experience. Thanks for sharing it with us! :)
You two are so funny together i love it when carpetbagger is on board
This kinda blew my mind Adam, I’ve never been to St Louis so I had no idea you could actually go inside of it much less take an elevator to the top. My whole life I swear I thought Clark was just messing with Rusty. Ka-Booooom!
Glad you got a chance to experience the "Washing Machine" as the locals call it!
We do? I never call it that😂
I’ve been up there 3 times to date, and got to say it’s incredible.
Oh heck yes! That vacuum museum didn't suck" 😁Morn' Adam! You are very brave..the elevator is a nightmare
Mom and dad bought a "Filter Queen vacuum cleaner from a travelling sales man in the late 1960's. When we kids had colds, or our allergies kicked up, mom would use the Filter Queen as a "humidifier."
The vacuum also served as a humidifier. Put in some Vic's Vapo Rub in the fit container, set the vacuum in the center of the bedroom, the scent filled the room.
The Filter Queen looked like a dwarf R2-D2!
its another fantastic wooo day
Awesome vlog! The Arch is so cool and you can see mostly everything from up there! The Wonkavator! LOL 10:17 LOL
Awww you said pooting! My grandma used to say that - haven’t heard it in years lol ty :) hahaha
im 37 years old and until today, i never knew you could enter that arch, never mind go up!! crazy!
Adam the woo! Another AWESOME chapter! Gonna be so very sad when it ends! It's been a wonderful adventure!
At 4:45, I'm amazed you were allowed to shoot anything on the property! For unwary travelers (Route 66 and otherwise), that's the notorious Indian Harvest Trading Post. Many, many bad experiences have been reported by visitors. Just do a Google search of the place. How and why they stay open is a mystery.
according to yelp they are now permanently closed.
I love just 15 minutes from the arch. Love St. Louis. Wish I could have met up with you and gone up. Next time.
My uncle used to live in the St. Louis area. He took my Dad, Mom, brother and me up in the Arch. My mom hated getting in that pod car. She said it was like getting into the tomb of doom. We had a great time. We then went to the Cardinals:/ SF Giants game at old Busch Stadium. We missed the Dodgers being in town the day before. We also went to Jesse James’ Hideout at Merrimac Caverns off old 66....I-44. Great trip that everyone should do in their life.
Hi the woo and Carpetbagger awesome video
That's one heck of a view! Thanks for sharing the experience Adam!
Wow! You two are braver than most. I would love to know what you really thought of the trip up the arch? I could never do it.
Holy smokes! And all this time I thought Clark Griswold had no clue what he was talking about when he said there was an elevator that's takes you all the way to the top. Lol Them elevators are neat.
Iwould have to say this is one of the best videos no no IT WAS YOUR BEST SO FAR LOVED IT
The public was never required to climb the steps to get to the top of the Arch. By the way, if my memory serves me correctly, there are 1076 steps to the upper observation platform of the Arch. I worked on the project when it was under construction. It took some planning to get our tools and our lunch to the top every day. At the very top of the structure there is a hatch to the outside. A few guys would eat their lunch out there. Been there during a heavy thunderstorm. That was a little scary. The structure actually sways a little in high winds. The interior of the legs experiences high humidity and the stair structure was always sweating as a result. In the morning we climbed the stairs but when going home we could slide down using just the handrails. There are a bunch of switchback platforms which made it easy to slide on the handrails. Fun job back then.
Thanks for pointing that out about the steps. I was there in the '70's and '90's, and always thought the stairs were only for maintenance workers. Can you imagine how many people would make it up there if they had to climb? I work out, but 1,076 steps is a lot of effort!
It must have been in 1968, when I rode to the top. I had just turned 13 during a long cross-country road trip with relatives. I remember looking down from the tiny window & seeing the shadow of the top moving across the ground. At the time, there was also the largest steamboat river boat moored below. The S.S. Admiral was a HUGE silver thing.....& we took a cruise that seemed to last several hours. The entire bottom deck was full of pinball machines, and there was a dance floor & dining upstairs. I remember we did the 'Hokey Pokey'. LOL.
We went to the top of the St Louis Arch when I was a kid back in the 70's. My dad had such claustrophobia that he wouldn't get in the elevator car to get down. We stayed up there for hours while he gathered the nerves to get back in the elevator.
Janet A we the stairs?
I would of never got in to begin with.
that's an A+ dad to put himself through all that just so you could see the thing. ha.
I have driven by those teepees I can't even count how many times and had no idea what was in them. Thanks for spending some time in Missouri! Can't wait for you to come back!
Nathan Matney The owners act like they don’t want anyone to know what’s in them.
On my bucket list now! Very cool. Continued safe travels. I'm enjoying these videos very much! Thanks
THIS WAS TOTALLY AMAZING ADAM!!!! Total FreakOut!!! Great video my friend! Where to next!!! -Al & Erin
Me and my dad live in St Louis as soon as we saw this video we wanted to see you in person
This is awesome! We are all on the trip with you... Great fun!
My mom had an Electrolux just like that. Brings back memories.
I've always wondered what was up there, too, Thanks for the ride. Got your tee shirt this week. GREAT!
Glad you guys went to top of the St. Louis Archway. IT LOOKED TERRIFYING👀👀👀
My home town welcomes Adam The Woo!
Yours and mine
They have redone the area around and inside the Arch now. They also have an aquarium at Union Station
Welcome to my hometown St. Louis
You were close to us. My wife is afraid of heights. I talked her into going up into the arch with me a few years ago. When we got to the top she crawled from one side to the other. Lots of fun stuff to do in St. Louis, Cardinal and Blues games, Concerts, City Museum, Science Center, Magic House, Six Flags...
Pretty cool ,this place ! If i had enough money i´ll travel to Usa to film that giant rocking chair .I´ve never seen anthing like that ,before .
Cool video seeing the view from 60 stories up. thanks, take care.
Thanks, Adam. Great video of my hometown. BTW, the stairs in the Arch are there only for emergencies. They were never used by the public.
Thanks for the ride up. I felt anxious and claustrophobic just watching. Now I can say I've seen it.
I love when he says completely wrong things. I can never tell if it’s a joke. I’ve been on a non stop binge on all Adams videos since coming across them in my recommend. Love all of them
Day 10 You guys made it to St. louis Mo Good vlog Adam The Arch was quite interesting .I can,t wait to see more on your historic road trip on Rt .66. keep rolling East. safe journey.
I remember going there as a kid, this year my family and I didn't got a chance to go there again because it's was close but at least we took few pictures of the Arch, maybe one day I will have my own family to visit there.
I am enjoying these Vlogs very much. Nice to see you leaving no stone unturned.
The Gateway arch covered two of my phobias, claustrophobia and fear of heights. I could see it being built as a kid only a short bike ride away from my home.
A new video from the Woo. 😃👍. This made my day better. 😃😃
I have been on route 66 and when we went to bobs gasoline alley he was there and he kindley let us in his private barns. It was the best place ever. Ive been up the gateway arch to and it is bigger in real life than it looks on camera. Best holiday ive ever been on. Thanks for making these videos and bringing back memories.😃
As a child growing up in the UK i was fascinated with the USA. I remember making as a small child a clay model of the St Louis Arch at school, I think maybe I had seen it in 'Planes Trains & Automobiles'.
In 2016 at age 28 I took the elevator to the top of the arch and fulfilled a childhood goal.
I picked up one of those mini arch souvenirs while I was there, I am looking at it now.
That's really Amazing 😊, it's a dream come true I'd say✅
That was awesome in the archway... reminds me of when I climbed into the crown of the statue of liberty that was tiny. Don't think it's possible anymore.
Hahaha loved the little Wonka tune 🤣
my feet don't leave this earth no way no how would I go up that arch my tummy was churning when you looked out Adam great video by the way xx
I Love St.Louis! I Wish The Rams Hadn't Left, Damn You Stan Kroenke!! Good Video Though!
As someone who was born and raised in st Louis i hope you enjoyed your visit my grandfather actually helped build the arch he was a carpenter
Great Video as always !
Gosh Woo...you are really awesome. Seriously, well done. Thank you.
Wicked cool road trip! So glad to see you back!
Just loved the Aspirateur Museum. Great displays. They don't make 'em like they used to, now they are mostly plastic and die after a year. As a kid my mother had a really old upright Hoover that sounded like it was eating the carpet in use and frightened me so that I wouldn't go in the house.
Loved your video. Good luck with the rest of the trip.
Thank you for this...great video
That’s quite the view. I had no idea you could go inside the arch. Very cool!
Cool and descriptive video! Love your amusing commentary
Loved your video and the view of Busch stadium from the top of the Arch...when I went up..
I’ve always wanted go on the Arch too. Thanks Adam.
Thank you Adam and Jacob! Great video!
Great video, as always.
Didnt know you could go inside the arch, let alone to the top!
I went up the arch in June of 1969. We drove across the country in a Dodge Travco motorhome that had been owned by Dick Smothers of the comedy team Smothers Brothers. There was a fierce storm and tornado in Saint Louis that night. I can imagine how scary it would be to look out the windows in a storm.
My day could be totally crappy , then I watch your video!
I was prepared to be bummed out, then you ruin it!
Damn the woo and your little bagger friend too!
I love the increase in videos Adam! It's giving me something to look forward too each day!
I always wondered about the elevator system in the Arch. Now I know! Whoa, watching on the big screen - got that sense of height from your view...
Loving the Route 66 vlogs and traveling along with you. I love it when you and Jacob pal around together.
Watching the pod that you went up in the Arch in the greeting Nanu Nanu came to mind. Looks like something from Mork’s planet, Ork.
Shall You Woo.....not me... that made me pucker up enough just watching the video!!!
Another great vlog today. Adam, you are the best!!!
LOL ... a crock pot on wheels. That is such a funny thought. I kinda want one now.
