This made me realize how such a good antagonist Hol Horse is and if you think about it, if Dio wasn't so stuck up about "proving yourself" and paired the stand users with their best strong suit or their little niche they could kill the Joestars.
The thing that the joestars survived is the plot and if it was reality, pure luck. For example, when d'arby almost defeated every1 and jotaro won just by luck and imagine if he didn't have that luck part 4 5 6 7 and more have never happen. Its called plot but it refers to luck

But I dont know if it was really luck or just Araki adding suspense that the Joestars survived by the skin of their teeth is every episode of stardust crusaders.
