Subaru in Re:Zero is superhuman strength, as in stronger than our peak of humanity, and Emilia is WAY stronger than him physically. She regularly wields weaponry that Subaru would crumple lifting, and has been shown to manhandle him and others during the course of the series.
I think the reason the video for Goblin Slayer's party did so well is that the story is pretty much set in an actual D&D world, and they seem like characters that follow the D&D rules, so people are curious what those builds would be. KonoSuba does well because of how popular the series is. If you would like some recommendations for series that do the same, a few anime I can think of are Log Horizon, Overlord, Frieren, DanMachi, Sword Art Online, and Shield Hero. Though Overlord would be a long video because of the large cast (unless you pick one of the adventurer parties) and SAO has the opposite problem. Frieren may be a bit boring because two of the characters are the same. But Log Horizon, DanMachi, and Shield Hero each have a diverse and well-sized main party.
If this was pathfinder 1e Emilia would definitely be a shaman with the frost spirit edit: scratch that, there's literally a archetype under witch named winter witch
Add in Photographic Memory Authority of Sloth (Invisible Hands) it causes pain every time he uses it Authority of Greed (Support ability) allows him to suck pain suffering from his party
Invisible providence only hurts him when he uses it for combat, he can use it without pain for other things like wiping beako's tear, flying, grabbing objects etc. Only when punching, pushing people etc does it give him pain. Little king doesn't suck pain away it more transfers it to him and he can distribute it to others, as well as detect allies from a distance
I was wondering how you'd make subaru the most, I think for return by death to be accurate you'd definitely need to homebrew like some kind of epic boon and it would be a headache to run in an actual campaign probably
I haven't read the novels, this is kinda something that i've been thinking about for a while now. A tad off topic, but i agree with your theory of Satella being a time looped Emilia, my theory is that shes an Emilia from a time line without Subaru, so she didn't have him help her through her tough times and all that stress and trauma built up and caused her to lose it, only problem with that theory, however, is how would she even know who he is in the first place to love him so dearly and be so obsessed? It could be that she saw a timeline with him or someone like him (perhaps an ancestor?) and wanted to recreate it or somethin idk, Great video though Haha!
I'm pretty sure Subaru would have at least a couple levels of divination wizard in there; knowing what's coming and planning around it fits a lot better with the divination wizard being able to just say "no you don't" and replace an enemy's high roll with trash.
If you are going to play as Natsuki Subaru Play him as an Annoying Jester and Bard He draws crowds without trying He makes people laugh when they are sad He pisses off his enemies basically Trolling them He annoys everyone he meets He commands the crowds.
Honestly, for Subaru I think I'd have given him two levels of Divination wizard to give him Portent and given him spells that can be flavoured as non-spells, especially divination ones. True, he'd need a spellbook, but I prefer handwaving that anyway whenever making builds.
Wouldnt warlock make for sense since he made a PACT or a DEAL to get power. Pretty straight forward. Also only having 2 spells slots is pretty spot on for him

Also her stamina kinda sucks after she use her wind magic so becareful
One thing I'd like to point out is that while the 100 squats and sit-ups aren't actually that hard or an issue, doing 100 push-ups each day for too long without sufficient recovery in between will eventually mess up your shoulder & palm tendons (great way to get tendonitis), and can potentially even lead to macro muscle fiber fissures. The training is quite doable daily for about a week once you get in good shape, but don't mindlessly overdo it. Throughout the week, rotate the more demanding exercises you do so that your muscles and tendons have time to recover - this is why programming exists. That said, the biggest issue with this training methodology is that it lacks progressive overload. Your body will adapt and eventually you'll only be gaining endurance. You _need_ to force new adaptations if you want to grow in strength or size. Harder variations, adding weight, or different exercises are all ways to force your body to continue to adapt by strengthening your muscles and tendons. Sincerely, a calisthenics enthusiast & gymbro
Roswaal L Mathers (Clown/Michael Jackson guy) is not a jester but he was the Court magician sadly as powerful as he is Roswaal couldn't stop the royal family from dying
I'd go for 2 levels Divination Wizard/5 levels in Pact of the Blade Warlock with the old Unearthed Arcana Raven Queen patron if I were told to build Subaru, personally. (the 13 int required to leave wizard just coming from going through a modern education, something that the majority of people in the setting don't have access to.) Strength is starting at 14 and Dexterity is his typical attacking stat tho. This class combo keeps the quantity and diversity of his spells on the lower end, but having so much emphasis on a short rest class reflects him just not. staying. down.
Hmmm, I was getting the impression that he literally had his brain scrambled in those first few loops, a side effect that he needed some time to adjust to. Furthering this it is also highly likely that he went through something before his mind adjusted so there may have been a much bigger window during that 'blink' than we realised. From the point of view of his memories he was in Japan one moment and Lagunica the next but a lot could have happened between these that he can't remember.

Another that could be interesting is Astrobot. Easily could see him as an artificier for making the numerous, numerous tools he wields. Though, I feel that alone isn't enough for all that he does....
Damn. Should've probably waited until the season 3 to make this video. Arc 5 (the one they're adapting) is the most battle focused one out of all the current arcs.
it seems subaru also keeps changes in his body each new return by death, as on the mansion he kept the skills he learned as butler, the mind can know but the body must learn from practice and he did not had it on the first death, his magic gate dont recover and ofc his soul dont get uncorrupted
Please do persona three. here are some ideas for classes. Makoto yuki: short sword, and he can fill any role he wants. he's the main character. Fighter or sorcerer would be good for him. Yukari takeba: Life or Tempest domain cleric with a bow taking mainly healing and Wind/thundering spells. Junpei iori: fighter with a great sword, probably an Eldritch Knight with fire and defense spells. Akihiko sanada: monk and eldritch Knight fighter (mainly taking Monk because he's a boxer) with a focus on electricity and supports spells. Mitsuru korijo: wizard with a rapier only ice spells and ailment spells (stuff to mimic charm and confusion) Aigis: warforged barbarian with Two hand crossbows, dip into paladin of devotion for defense spells and healing Koromaru: he is a dog Who uses a single knife so werewolf human permanently turned into wolf form or he is just a dog. He uses dark and fire skills and has SP management issues. He is a Warlock Ken amada: he uses a lance and has healing, light, electricity, and Barrier spells. Cleric and paladin of vengeance. If you're wondering why paladin of vengeance. Look up persona three October 4 ,also he has some good physical skills. Shinjiro aragaki: Battle master fighter with a great club. He's really simple.
Bonus characters (spoilers) Wild card aigis: same as Makoto Yuki but with two hand crossbows or one heavy. Metis: same as Aigis (so barbarian paladin of devotion) but with a great club and you have grab one damaging thundering/wind spell and one Ice spell and no healing spells. Fuuka yamagishi: literally any class so long as it supports the team. Dip into a cleric for healing word, bard for bardic inspiration, Ranger to figure out enemy weaknesses whatever class has a good support spell/ability grab it. She has no weapons and please dump strength dexterity and constitution, She doesn't need them.
Game Masters Guide Have you ever thought of doing Animes version of the Marvel universe The Toaru Series aka A CERTAIN MAGICAL INDEX/ A CERTAIN SCIENTIFIC RAILGUN series? When Science and Magic Collide a story is born
When subaru came to the fantasy world he did mention that he got stronger out of nowhere but id say thats just y'know cause in the other world thats what kinda strength is more possible
Whenever the story ends and they get their happy ever after, Subaru will be the most traumatized creature in the world, and he will get a PTSD attack every 5th second. I would not be able to withstand all the trauma and despair he goes trough. Had i gone trough all that he did, my mind would have broken under the witches trial, if not sooner. Everyone is bashing how weak he is, but from my point of view he is one of the strongest characters in Amine, not in the way Saitama is strong, but his willpower and mental fortitude is inhuman, in that sense he IS stronger then Rainhearth.
start with players handbook and dungeon master’s guide, has the core of the game there. tasha’s cauldron of everything and xanthar’s guide are optional but has some cool stuff. I’d say that’s good for starting out. you can also find a lot of information online about what’s in the books.
Honestly, i'd recommend other systems. 5e is basically a video game in book form, there's not much freedom for creating a realistic character along with their mechanical abilities.
If you play Pathfinder (either edition) instead, everything is free (with the exception of things like prewritten campaigns), so you don't have to choose.
Id say based on cut content and novels i would do these a lot different and some of your choices actually go against some of the characters later characteristics. But with the context you have I definitely think most of it was pretty good and the vid was entertaining!
6:54 him not figureing out the timeloop fast is a Wisdom thing anyway not an Int thing. Int is more the realm of book smarts and information while Wisdom governs common sense and situational awareness.
Hey that’s my theory, too. In one loop, Subaru probably saves everyone except himself which is why Satella tells him to worry about himself more. Return by Death only cares about Subaru in the same way Emilia would if she found out Subaru cared about everyone except himself just sayin.
Why didn't you give the Ice girl at least 1 warlock level? Like i haven't watched the show but everything abt the way magic seems to work SCREAMS warlock to me
Actually fun fact, in the lightnovel, Subaru points out that he feels really light, almost as if the physics of the world were well, just a bit lighter (or something like that, it's been a long while). So his equivalent good strength is almost exaggerated in this world
This was back in 2018 I heard rumors about one DM trying to go for a Re:Zero campaign same Restart by death ability But some of the players didn't like it and the campaign failed So if you are going to pay a campaign Let your players and dm know whats going on
I will say i don't know the exact wording used or when ir if this happens but i have heard that a character in re zero literally says that subaru being sane or being human ir something like that is impossible just because he's died once or twice but i could be mistaken
I think an Overlord video would be neat. But there are so many characters it feels like it would be hell. Even if much of their stuff is straight ripped out ofn DnD then slightly changed (or so i have been told). Though this fact would probably take away from such a video as well.
Ik this is asking for a lot for one video, but what about Dragon Quest 11? Dragon Quest has all the classic D&D tropes. Hell, Jade is practically the textbook definition of a monk

@@Kalatash yeah like that’s a sort of premise that you can’t tell your players about. Honestly a crazy way to play it would be to end it off with the TPK, having the party get put to sleep and waking up with everyone alive. Maybe have it mentioned that resurrection magic doesn’t work or exist to make it more intriguing…
As someone who has done a couple of this type of campaign, it works great for a single player. Or if the whole group knows what they’re in for in advance. The process of gathering Intel and subverting your enemies to solve problems and progress can at times feel slow. At others it feels incredibly fast as players get some deep knowledge early in certain scenarios.
Hey Dude there is a Dnd Campaign that is being played on RUclips based in the world of Re:Zero

Emilia is actually super human in strength.
In the OVA/movie she speed blitz a group of bandits and 1 shot them with her body 😂

Ram (Wind Mage)
Reinhardt (Super Broken warrior mage)
Felix (Cleric/Healer)
Otto (Beast Master)
Garfield (Barbarian Tabaix)
Subaru (Innocent Cinnamon Roll Npc the Party adopt because of his panic Attacks and Supreme Luck)
I wouldn't just call it luck, he seems like a master strategist to people around him.
@Greatcelestialkaligo
To everyone else around him it looks like extreme luck
@@Crazycoyote-we7ey I doubt it since in arc 3 after the whale subjugation and his death in the village Subaru says some stuff about the enemy their about to face and, "I think I can be possessed too", if they didn't trust him and thought it was luck they would have reacted differently.

Play Subaru as a Jester
Because he can do anything Jesters can
He just does it unintentionally without even realizing it
Otto is a disgraced noble who had to fight for his life and is just trying to lay low, yes Subaru gets stronger but the author said at the time Otto would win in a fist fight, Subaru gets way stronger later and I doubt Otto would win in a sword fight at that time either
You know thats fair, i forgot about that part
Not giving Emilia the Fey Warlock Is wild
I heavily disagree on the low wis to be honest, anyone else's mind would have broken but his didn't. the only time he actually "breaks" he gets called out that he's faking it by an actually crazy person (Betelgeuse), also while it's technically not cannon, in the spin off anime Isekai Quartet where Re Zero and other famous isekais like Overlord, KonoSuba and that military isekai that I didn't watch. something something happens and the main character of that military isekai releases a wave of energy fairly close to Subaru and Aizen. Afterwards Aizen, a mage capable of STOPPING TIME, complimented Subaru for not even flinching in the face of it even asking what kind of mental stress is he used to living under.
Aizen?

I just looked into your channel, I just realized you've only been here for a few months! Dude your amazing! You seem so much more organized then how new you are.

Annoying Jester because he does have the qualities for it
He basically Aggros all Magic Beasts in Re:Zero all he has to say is "I CAN RESTART BY DEATH!!!!"
And Bam the Witches scent that his real psychopathic witch girlfriend Satella left on him drives those magic beasts wild they want to tear him apart
In arc two he made a fool of himself in the Royal Capital by saying he was a knight of Emilia right in front of a room full of knights and they wanted to kill him and he got his butt kicked for it
Jesters command crowds entertain them defy death and calm them down
Jesters can get away with anything as long as it's funny
Jesters can dress in drag (Looking at you Subaru for dressing as a girl and Calling yourself Natsumi Schwartz in the short story My fair bad lady)
Loved it, tho Emilia having lower strength than Subaru doesn't sit right with me. Can't wait for a similar videos on Mushoku Tensei and Overlord.
Emilia is literally an elf (infamous for being less physically stout) and doesn't even do demanding physical activities.
@@rompevuevitos222 She Canonically has super human strength and can wield inhumanly large ice weapons with ease
@@rompevuevitos222 doesn't make what elfs are informis for this is fiction and the rules of re sero could be diffrent, (idk if they are) but Emilia is far stronger than Subaru, like super human.
@@rompevuevitos222she literally knock the human trafficker group in frozen bonds with just physical strength.
Subaru in Re:Zero is superhuman strength, as in stronger than our peak of humanity, and Emilia is WAY stronger than him physically. She regularly wields weaponry that Subaru would crumple lifting, and has been shown to manhandle him and others during the course of the series.
Overlord charactes next ?
2:20 Oh yeah Subaru? I can relate
Add in
Photographic Memory
Authority of Sloth (Invisible Hands) it causes pain every time he uses it
Authority of Greed (Support ability) allows him to suck pain suffering from his party
U should add spoiler warning for greed bc anime isn’t out yet
Invisible providence only hurts him when he uses it for combat, he can use it without pain for other things like wiping beako's tear, flying, grabbing objects etc. Only when punching, pushing people etc does it give him pain.
Little king doesn't suck pain away it more transfers it to him and he can distribute it to others, as well as detect allies from a distance
I was wondering how you'd make subaru the most, I think for return by death to be accurate you'd definitely need to homebrew like some kind of epic boon and it would be a headache to run in an actual campaign probably
You really should watch the cut content for Re: zero, also btw return but death is a witch factor just like, unseen hands.
Where can you see cut content?
@@Thanadeez witch cult cut content web site.
My suggestions are is the faraway paladin and Magi : the labyrinth of magic
I'm pretty sure Subaru would have at least a couple levels of divination wizard in there; knowing what's coming and planning around it fits a lot better with the divination wizard being able to just say "no you don't" and replace an enemy's high roll with trash.
If you are going to play as Natsuki Subaru Play him as an Annoying Jester and Bard
He draws crowds without trying
He makes people laugh when they are sad
He pisses off his enemies basically Trolling them
He annoys everyone he meets
He commands the crowds.
He def needs the performer or actor feat at least, he's quite theatrical. I wouldn't go so far as to make him a bard though, warlock seems better
Honestly, for Subaru I think I'd have given him two levels of Divination wizard to give him Portent and given him spells that can be flavoured as non-spells, especially divination ones. True, he'd need a spellbook, but I prefer handwaving that anyway whenever making builds.
The clip you used for tsundere? Beatrice had me in stitches, watching it for the first time out of context.
Wouldnt warlock make for sense since he made a PACT or a DEAL to get power. Pretty straight forward. Also only having 2 spells slots is pretty spot on for him
i love seeing this content as well. Another video idea would be to make custom classes or subclasses for each of these characters
“Berzerker Maid” why is that such a badass title?
Rem and Ram are like night and day Due to them being twins
Rem has Strength her ice magic can blitz anything
Ram is weak in Strength but her wind magic can shred anything but her her horn was cut off so she has to recharge it by Roswaal
For Rem Add Strength in there because that Flail of hers weighs like 800 tons or so
Also add agility when she goes full murder hobo Oni/Demon mode shes like a Psychopathic ribbon dancer with her Flail
Minus intelligence because when she is Oni/Demon mode she goes kills everything and you have to wack her horn to bring her back to her senses
Also Dexterity because she is capable of making Vietnam War Era style traps (Tiger traps, dead falls, Mace Traps, wall of spike traps, etc)
Her Sister Ram
Add Wisdom and intelligence
Because of her wind magic and teaching skills and Clairevoyance
Add Vicious Mockery why reasons (Subaru almost didn't from that day in arc 2)
Minus Strength its why Subaru was able to toss her.
Sincerely,
a calisthenics enthusiast & gymbro

18:59 Hey she Rejected Subaru's Proposal to run away first and chose to boost him up to fight back (Directors Cut)
Sloth If Route they did run away Emilia and Crushe both died and she and Subaru had like 5 kids and Subaru died at the age of 90 and Restarted at episode 18
It’s so funny you mention emilia not having many fights when not even 2 full weeks later we just got a great one between her and the scary bandage lady.
I am actually kinda mad about that, her fight there was awesome!
Found this by chance, and I liked it enough to subscribe. Well done on the vid.
Hmm.... considering how he is, I can think of one character that'd be interesting but very difficult in DnD.... Knack.
Another that could be interesting is Astrobot. Easily could see him as an artificier for making the numerous, numerous tools he wields. Though, I feel that alone isn't enough for all that he does....
Grimgar is also a perfect anime for D&D, though be warned, there are a lot of characters
I think Emilia´s physical strenght stat is even higher, if her feats in the Isekai Quartet movie are valid.
The author said that Emilia and Satella are not the same person.
hey you should also do a video on sakamoto days.
Remember every time you save scum a Subaru dies
Damn.
Should've probably waited until the season 3 to make this video.
Arc 5 (the one they're adapting) is the most battle focused one out of all the current arcs.
My suggestion for a build video would be the Black Bulls squad from Black Clover
My two suggestions for anime would be Log Horizon and overlord
If ya want "Ice Elemental Casting" I refer you to Dragon Magazine # 200 and a huge middle finger to 5e (and 4s).
it seems subaru also keeps changes in his body each new return by death, as on the mansion he kept the skills he learned as butler, the mind can know but the body must learn from practice and he did not had it on the first death, his magic gate dont recover and ofc his soul dont get uncorrupted
Subaru doesn't keep muscle memory he builds if he goes back to a checkpoint
PEAK ZERO Rem is killing me but the anime is amazing 🎉
Please do persona three. here are some ideas for classes.
Makoto yuki: short sword, and he can fill any role he wants. he's the main character. Fighter or sorcerer would be good for him.
Yukari takeba: Life or Tempest domain cleric with a bow taking mainly healing and Wind/thundering spells.
Junpei iori: fighter with a great sword, probably an Eldritch Knight with fire and defense spells.
Akihiko sanada: monk and eldritch Knight fighter (mainly taking Monk because he's a boxer) with a focus on electricity and supports spells.
Mitsuru korijo: wizard with a rapier only ice spells and ailment spells (stuff to mimic charm and confusion)
Aigis: warforged barbarian with Two hand crossbows, dip into paladin of devotion for defense spells and healing
Koromaru: he is a dog Who uses a single knife so werewolf human permanently turned into wolf form or he is just a dog. He uses dark and fire skills and has SP management issues. He is a Warlock
Ken amada: he uses a lance and has healing, light, electricity, and Barrier spells. Cleric and paladin of vengeance. If you're wondering why paladin of vengeance. Look up persona three October 4 ,also he has some good physical skills.
Shinjiro aragaki: Battle master fighter with a great club. He's really simple.
Bonus characters (spoilers)
Wild card aigis: same as
Makoto Yuki but with two hand crossbows or one heavy.
I know there were some things missing but you did a pretty good job man

When subaru came to the fantasy world he did mention that he got stronger out of nowhere but id say thats just y'know cause in the other world thats what kinda strength is more possible
Very wise man as well
Whenever the story ends and they get their happy ever after, Subaru will be the most traumatized creature in the world, and he will get a PTSD attack every 5th second.
I want to start playing dnd. Which books should i get? Which PDFs should i get?
start with players handbook and dungeon master’s guide, has the core of the game there.
tasha’s cauldron of everything and xanthar’s guide are optional but has some cool stuff.
I’d say that’s good for starting out. you can also find a lot of information online about what’s in the books.
If you want all of the customization stuff look up "DNDwikidot 5e" or if you want the newest stuff look up "DNDwikidot 2024"
Honestly, i'd recommend other systems.
5e is basically a video game in book form, there's not much freedom for creating a realistic character along with their mechanical abilities.
@@birdup2141 should I buy phb 2024?
If you play Pathfinder (either edition) instead, everything is free (with the exception of things like prewritten campaigns), so you don't have to choose.

you should try this with pathfinder, even if only in your own time, it can be fun getting so close to what you're aiming for.
Id say based on cut content and novels i would do these a lot different and some of your choices actually go against some of the characters later characteristics.
But with the context you have I definitely think most of it was pretty good and the vid was entertaining!
What class would you give?
Honestly, make Subaru a reborn, and reflavor his knowledge of another life as his having experienced this bed
Now we wait for Roswaal and Petelgeuse
Otto is buff as heck.
