Another wonderful video Cali/FOBBVCAM. These two have many human characteristics. Notice Shadows wisdom to stand aside as Jackie put that unruly stick DOWN. The color on the birds is vivid and beautiful. How blessed are we to see such wonderous life. I am thankful for this use of technology.

I really loved it when Jackie and Shadow attacked that wonky stick. I wouldn't doubt it if they both pushed that stick out of the nest. There's never a dull moment with Jackie and Shadow. 😊

"Who's been sleeping in my bed?" That was one stubborn stick! Shadow figured that Jackie needed some help with it? Not sure how they finally tamed it. Jackie snapped it with Shadow standing on the other end…? The coyotes were yelping their approval. Those jay sure have stellar colors!
It indeed took some wrestling! That was some stick but they were both more determined to tame it than to let it win. Those jays are beautiful. Thanks for another great video of our lovebirds, Cali

Ok, so Jackie brought that monster home... Shadow didn't know what to do with it. Jackie decides to take matters into her own. Shadow runs interference, there's a struggle... Then the stick disappeared! Did it fall from the nest? Just saying..

Okay, where did that stick go? One minute Shadow was carrying it around and the next minute it’s gone.
This may sound like a stupid question but how do you tell them apart?
Jackie is a little larger. Shadow is darker, and there is a difference in their heads' feathers. Once you watch them for awhile you will be able to note who-is-who. Enjoy!
Shadow's beak is darker. And Jackie has a tail feather that has some cool looking stripes on it.
That's what I look for. 🤷🏻♀️
The easiest way for me is to look at their white feathers along the neck line. Most of Shadow's are very spiky at the ends, coming to sharp points; whereas most of Jackie's lie flatter and almost look like soft flower petals.
Jackie has a more intense stare than Shadow. Her “brow” is lower.
Jackie is larger with a flatter head (on top), so side-by-side look for that.
Beautiful bird on the tree nears Jackie and Shadow! Wonder what they are looking at- nest?
They are a comedy team & i just love them.
Btw do you think all bald eagles act like them?
Do you watch Ellie, Harvey and their two adorable eaglets Wichita and Cheyenne ? They’re all amazing but J &S are unique. Their family dynamic, love for each other and the way they communicate make them a unique pair.
If you watch a lot of BAEA nests, you will probably see similarities, but they are all spectacularly unique and it seems the longer they are together, the more entertaining they are.
