That's something that I truly love about the VTuber revolution. It's allowing people who would normally have had no real chance to succeed in music for one reason or another a chance to shine. It's allowed a previously untapped pool of talent to come forward and blossom.
I agree: knowing how the mainstream music industry works, where looks are more important than musical prowess, it's the opposite that we get but probably don't deserve. Besides, it gives the talents a chance to draw a line between their lives and their work too.

It's giving someone who might not fit the looks or age range that JP media producers aim for (22 years old is considered somewhat old, by 25 they're mostly retired from idol business, and this has been the case of certain members in HL with a past history as idols) and many people, because they are shy, neurodivergent, extreme introverts or don't want to face the limelight (where you will be constantly criticized by society for what you wear, your makeup, who you go out with, etc. it can be a lot for most people), now get a chance to shine from behind a screen or in front of a 3d capture setup. In a world obsessed with looks and telling other people what to do, vtubers feel like a refreshing middle finger to the established music industry and the circus that surrounds it.

Their voices harmonizing is just beautiful, and they are all distinct. From first listen I like Ririka's voice a lot, but they're all great. Can't wait for more!

I'm pretty sure its gonna happen the same as with Irys, AZKI and Suisei. I mean INNK music went away. They got the most success by having the talents all stream and promote their music that way. If its purely only music they won't last. They need viewership and followers so their music gets out there so they have to stream. Its why each girl has their own channel. If it was "talent specializing in song" they would only need the one main channel to put all the girl's music on but instead they have the main one and 5 sub channels for each of the girls. So your going to be seeing the same thing as AZKI, Suisei, Irys and others too like Calliope who she specializes in music more than the others but streams alot as well. Its how they are going to promote their music. If not they'd just absorb the singing talents who already specialize in music into the new banner they made and they'd be making music alongside regloss. Just expect them to be streamers too pretty much and make music too like Calli and the other girls do.
@@Fate862 All the members you listed, AZKi, Suisei, Irys, Calli are all meant to be single artists, akin to Taylor Swift, Eminem etc. In fact, all the girls at the end of the day are all single artists even though they are part of a "generation group." For example, JP gen3, they have done a couple of gen3 original group songs, but they still release individual original solo songs because they are still considered solo artists at the end of the day. ReGLOSS seems to be an attempt at a proper "vsinger group" akin to Spice Girls or BLACKPINK. This could mean any original songs they will come together to do a group song instead of individually doing solo original songs like AZKi, Suisei, etc. They will probably do all the vtuber activities like solo cover songs, collab songs, gaming, live 3D, etc on their individual channels, but proper ReGLOSS group songs will be on DEV_IS channel.

there's another thing going on in Hololive. The Blue Journey Project, 25 members of Hololive making music together. I really love the song "Astro" by Kanata, Okayu and Noel. Their Harmony is really great!! Look it up if you'd like to, "Blue Journey - Astro"
A thing that made me more hyped for this is that they have matching outfits as their default look (I think?) which is a new thing for Holo. Normally, each Gen is just 5 characters that vaguely form a theme, this time though, they are purposely a group at the start. Also they have the most grounded "lore" ever since like, Sora.
What I'd love to see with this song are an individual version and a dance version. This song is a bop so seeing a dance version is definitely something to behold.

Day 113 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. Every current girl in Hololive, can be seen as an individual artist. Think of it like Taylor Swift, Eminem, etc. They collab with other artists from time to time. So, even though some of the gens made group songs or do collabs, at the end of the day they are still individual artists. ReGLOSS looks like an attempt at being an actual vsinger group. Think of it like the vsinger version of Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, etc. My guess is, if they ever do original songs, they are going to do it as a group. Which would mean they won't be doing individual original songs.
