You cracked me up, your face, when you hear Phil Bailey do his falsetto, priceless the look on your face!! Maurice White behind the drum, has passed away a couple of years ago.
The lead singer here, Philip Bailey, sang the hit '80s duet "Easy Lover" with Phil Collins. The other singer (and group leader/writer) was Maurice White.
You've got to check out Easy Lover. That one was awesome!!! Also, now that you've heard Reasons and Philip Bailey you've GOT to hear Devotion. Bailey sings that one also.
The video is good, but it was something to see them live! Philip busting out those high notes 🎶 and Maurice with those subtle tones!! Old school concert was the best ever💯
If you do a reaction to easy lover you have to do the video where they're making the video it is hilarious and the chemistry between the 2 and this respect is amazing
MY DUDE ! Yes, EWF is mighty, mighty. LOVED your reaction to FANTASY ( with Phillip Bailey going HAM on vocals ) .Their song "That's The Way Of The World" is a must !...............................PEACE !
This is my husband's and my song--we fell in love to it in 1975. We will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary at the end of December, God willing. Thanks so much for reacting to it. ❤
The great Phillip Bailey. Listen to him with Earth, Wind and Fire singing "Fantasy", the live version, if you want to hear more of that incredible range.
I was a white kid in a white suburb in 1977 enchanted by EWF’s double live album Gratitude while my friends were doing Led Zeppelin and The Who. All that music still stands up, but I will always love Earth, Wind and Fire above all others
To me they are the greatest band, ever. As an aside, the gentleman playing the Sax is Don Myrick, who was tragically killed by cops in the 80’s (somebody check me) when they went to his home and he answered the door holding a gun shaped lighter, or so the story goes. He was a HUGE talent. Listen to EWF’s “Runnin’” a Grammy-winning composition/performance that features Myrick.
Love everyone of Earth Wind & Fires songs...many wonderful times with great friends!!! Wow, wow, wow, unreal voice right there!!! Thank you Jay, love this music, such talent...💖💖💖💖
Earth, Wind & Fire, are NEVER gonna disappoint cha. They are a ONE OF A KIND band!!! That version wasn't bad, but TRUST ME, it has been sung "WAY BETTER". Check out the audio version, for it will BLOW YOU AWAY! Phillip Bailey (the falsetto lead), sings it even more amazing, then what u just reacted to.
this song is responsible for many babies being born. Philip Bailey just may have thE best falsetto voice ever. Maurice White (R.I.P.) was the other lead singer.
They are great group out of Chicago this is one my favorites Maurice White the leader Phillip Bailly singing Maurice and one of the Horn leaders passed away thay had the best concert saw themin80 amazing try After the love is gone they could get funky or slow love Hall of Famers
Maurice White is the leader, and the beautiful voice singing voice in this one is the Iconic Phillip Bailey. Man you got to throw up more Earth Wind and Fire, tons of hits.
This song is my favorite Earth Wind and Fire song. Also "Love's Holiday" that song makes you get into the groove and a big hit with the person you love, if you sing this song to them.
they were a hit factory and they had great musicians and a great horn section. that's why they lasted so long. Music needs to rediscover instruments like horns, the organ, piano, the synthesizer, flute, etc. One dimensional and boring today with overproduced and over vocalized sound alike songs
Philip Bailey has an amazing falsetto...Maurice White is the other lead singer and leader of the group. He has passed away and Philip Bailey now leads the group. Try listening to “That’s the Way of The World” where Maurice sings lead and you can hear Philip’s voice in the background.
Best band in the world! RIP Maurice White Lead singer & founder of the band. I saw the band in concert in 2021 & Phillip Bailey is still hitting those high notes!
In my top of favorite songs. REact to Heatwave "Always and Forever". Both of these songs were always played at house parties I went to with my young parents as a child.
I bet you have heard them without knowing it. One of their most famous is September, but also After the Love Has Gone, Let’s Groove, and Shining Star are all played pop radio stations.
Earth Wind & Fire is an amazing band. Two lead singers, a legendary horn section, cutting edge music of the time. They were the band other R&B bands tried to sound like. Their concerts were amazing spectacles! Please do more EW&F. Sing a Song, Got to Get You Into My Life, Can’t Hide Love, Be Ever Wonderful, and many more. It’s a deep well.
Please check out "They'll Never Be" and "I Call Your Name" by Switch . Joe Debarge is part of the family singing group Debarge family. El Debarge has an incredible falsetto voice. Switch and Debarge are to groups you definitely want to listen to. Talk a about smooth.
J. They are known as the Elements. Earth, Wind, and Fire. They are simply the best ever. Each member played am instrument Maurice White and his brothers did a great job with this group I saw them live a few times and I was never disappointed. My favorite group then and now!!
I've seen EWF at least twenty times over the last 40 years. Last time being 2019. They are still fantastic. If you can find it, listen to the Live version of " Fantasy" on the "Live at Velfarre" album. Philip Bailey is amazing in that particular live version. Check it out. I can't begin to tell you how much better he is on that album. He is always fantastic, but Fantasy on the Live at Velfarre album is the want you . You'll be shocked and amazed. Love your channel. Thanks So Much
Another GREAT,GREAT band.I first heard them when "head to the sky" was released..saw them at the forum in LA 1975...One of MY all time favorite bands and I go DEEP into their catalog.enjoy.
Phillip Bailey is the lead singer on this song. Maurice White R.I.P. is the leader, producer, singer, drummer, and founder of Earth Wind & Fire. Phillip Bailey has four octaves in his voice. Seen this group in concert four times. Indescribable!!!! I cannot describe their concert...Way out of pocket...like they are from another world!!!! Check out their song "Get away." and That's The Way of the World.
Jay if you like the back and forth with the sax then you have to listen to the live version of this song on the Gratitude album. It is way better than the original recording of reasons.
They toured with the band Chicago a few years ago and played each other’s songs together with both horn sections and entire bands. It is a DVD any music lover should have.
Glad that you played a live version. Philip Bailey is the one who does most of the falsetto singing, ( like Fantasy for example) but the leader of the group and founder of it is Maurice White who does many of thet more tenor/ Baritone lead vocals.
I just love this group. Talent all around! Philip Bailey( singing here) is amazing- what other word to use? Actually the entire is fantastic. They just make you(me) happy as hell.
The lead singer on this song is Philip Bailey, healso sangon "Easylover" with Phill Collins. This is my favorite song and video because I luv the back and forth with the sax,fyi the guy in your used to see singing lead is Maurice White one of the founders of the group RIP. Maurice.
