I love the fact that he said Shawn was the worst in the back but then acknowledged that he's also the best. I respect ppl who can put personal and business on two separate hands. Cornette and Bret always say the same, Shawn was incredible in the ring.

Brawler is one of those guys who know “where all the (proverbial) bodies are buried”. I’m surprised how open he is in the clips I’ve seen with James.
He was kinda guarded in his RF shoot.

He said the guys with the masks smelled. Vader of course and probably Mankind as well since he was a big fat guy as well. Imagine the stink in the car when Vader and Mankind were a team with Paul Bearer in 97.
I always enjoyed the Brawler showing up and having a good time. One of my favourites back in the era.
why not just let Steve tell the stories as they come to mind instead of this "oh, there's so MANY stories!" "We'll get to it, I promise!" routine. Just let the guy tells the stories as they come up naturally for Chrissake's.
Yeah that was extremely annoying every time he wanted to get into one and the host would just keep cutting him off.

I love watching these interviews. The Brawler is a charismatic, likable guy.
He looks better than anyone else from that time period.
Some of my favourite biographies are from the "underneath" guys. "Pin Me, Pay Me" by Bobby Blayze is a great look at the 90s wrestling scene
Lombardi & Horowitz were the best enhancement talent as a tag team and singles. Also I would add Iron Mike Sharpe.
George South was up there too, at least as far as non-WWF enhancement talent is concerned

He said he's not reckless but snug to the point where he's borderline stiff. I've heard other wrestlers say the same. Scott Hall said Bret was snug as a compliment; Sid, if I remember correctly, said Bret was stiff in a way that was not complimentary.
The match in the Garden he's talking about against HBK is on youtube. It was for the title 🤷🏻♂️ and Chyna did a run in and botched a hurricanrana and dropped Brawler on his head. It looked pretty brutal

Well he adopted religion which helped give him discipline, and I don't know his history growing up etc so maybe there's a lot of trauma. Us youtubers don't know him on a personal level though, so bit ignorant to comment.

I'm glad he distinguished his match with Shawn Michael's in the Garden as being in Madison Square Garden . People may have thought he was talking about Olive Garden .
People may have thought he was talking about Boston Garden, a very famous arena and regular stop for the WWF.
Pat Patterson used to say that Steve Lombardi was a 'Hard Worker' and very good on the ground.

We all know Barry Horowitz is the best enhancement talent ever.
I thought he was going to say that, too. However, when I think about it, maybe he really was the best because he really did make those guys look great, and to be in that spot for that length of time, I think it's unheard of.
Brooklyn Brawler was a better “jobber” Barry is a midcarder with skills but then again so is Brawler

He gives straight honest answers and doesn't look to bury people. It's better than listening to BS just for a career of doing bitter shoot interviews. Plus, he doesn't seem like a bitter drug addict which many of them seem to be. Don't forget. a lot of these guys had serious drug problems and wouldn't hold a job down anywhere else.
