@@BrittaDwyer Thank you. Are you still teaching geometry. I am teaching HS geometry for the first time, also my first time using IM. That SMART notebook looks like it would make my job a lot easier.
@user-dr1ev6fg4y I am still teaching Geometry. And SMART is awesome for constructions. But, I do believe you need to have your computer connected to a SMART board to use the full capabilities. I no longer have a SMART board, so now I have a large watermark at the bottom of the screen 🤦🏻♀️. Active Inspire is another software that we now have, but I haven’t started using it much. But it has the compass and protractor tools as well.
You're literally saving my life. I'm a special ed teacher who focuses on ELA. Next year I have to teach a small group Geometry class and I'm a panicky mess. Your videos are so helpful! What program are you using?
Yay! I’m so happy to hear that. I have modified a ton of the slides as the units progress to be more SpEd / EL friendly with less words 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ This was my first time through the IM curriculum. Not sure I will have time to re-record videos this summer/upcoming year. But definitely want to! I use Loom.com to record the videos and SMART Notebook 10 is the software I use to write the slides. I use Canva.com for many of the images (besides the ones provided in the IM curriculum itself). I am also in the process of putting some other resources on Teacher Pay Teacher. Are you using IM at your school?
