My favourite thing about this video is the father and son element. I’m 40 and my Son is 13 and for the last year I’ve brought him from the world of float fishing into carp and we spend some amazing Bivvy time together, and I love watching him slowly increase his PB month after month. I’d love to get to your dad’s age and my son yours and hope we are still having these adventures together. Well done on the PBs and the fishing you had some bangers 🎣

Thanks for the great comment mate! I'm 34 and my dads 66, he got me into pleasure fishing when I was around 5/6. I fished in junior matches and casually for a few years until I took an interest in carp fishing at the age your son is now. My dad wasn't into carp fishing, but as I couldn't go alone aged 12/13 he had to come with me for my first night etc. Over the years I got heavily into it and Dad also got into it, I really cherish our trips together and we've said we will keep them going as long as possible. Wishing you and your son all the best of luck in your angling mate, make sure you get out with him as much as you can! Thanks, Jack

Nice video 👍🏻 I did one and the same swim, although we didn’t do as well, as you did. Those weird bites and non takes are the spiked fins on the sturgeon catching the line. At the time we didn’t know what was going on; however, in hindsight for a couple of years Jonchery had Sturgeon in it and the same thing used to happen

Thanks mate. For months leading up to the trip I couldn't find anything on RUclips in English about the place. It wasn't until we were driving down and saw your video literally just a couple of weeks prior. Was a good video mate, was useful for us to get a little bit of info.

Thanks for the comment mate. I’m not sure I know where Brookes Mere is, I’m fairly certain I’ve never been there? Have you been Carpanium? Cheers 👍🏼

Hi mate, at the end of the video you mentioned if you went again you'd take more boiles next time, just wondered if you can remember how much you took with you?
I only ask as I'm going there myself in a few weeks 😊

    Daiwa sensor isn't a snag leader. 👍

It’s 0.52mm thick abrasive resistant material which does exactly the same job, without knots. Cheers for the comment though mate 👍🏼
