Cutting and clearing Japanese Knotweed

On our biodiversity focussed reforestation site in Cranalagh more, Edgeworthstown, Japanese Knotweed appeared. And it took off!!! We had to take swift and decisive action so when it was in 'bloom', we cut it down as close to the base as possible and then sprayed it. This is a relatively temporary solution and once we have operations underway for the replanting of the site, we can take further action. In the meantime, its a great way to work out the knots!!
