    Guava Cake Recipe :
    Ingredients :
    Guava Paste - 7 0z
    Strawberry Cake Mix - 1 box
    Eggs - 3 ct
    Oil - 1/3 cup
    Vanilla Extract - 1/2 tsp
    Unsalted Butter - as needed
    White Chocolate - 4 oz
    Heavy Whipping Cream - 2 cups
    Powdered Sugar - 1 cup
    Step 1 :
    Guava Puree Preparation :
    In a small sauce pan (on medium high flame), add guava paste. Add hot water and mix until the guava paste melts and gets to sauce consistency. Cook for 5 mins and check the consistency. Once the sauce is ready, switch the flame off and let the guava puree cool down to room temperature. Keep the guava puree in the refrigerator and let it chill.
    Step 2 :
    Guava Cake Preparation :
    Pre-heat the oven to 325 F. In a mixing bowl, add strawberry cake mix. Follow the instructions on the back of the cake mix box (this could vary by mix). Once you add all the ingredients, mix for a minute. Add a portion of guava puree to the batter and mix for one more minute until it mixes well. Prepare the cake pans by applying some butter. Place a parchment paper and split the batter between both pans. Place the cake pans in the oven and cook for 25 mins. After 25 mins, check the cake with a skewer or tooth pick. Insert a toothpick in the middle of the cake and if the tooth pick comes clear, it means the cake is ready.
    Place the cake pans on a cooling rack and let is cool down for 5 mins. With a knife, release the sides and move the guava cake on the cooling rack. Let the cakes cool down to room temperature and remove the parchment paper. Once the cakes get to room temperature, wrap the cake with a cling wrap and keep them in the freezer of 20 mins.
    Step 3 :
    Chocolate Preparation (for cake decor):
    Choose your favorite white chocolate and follow the instructions as shown in the video (optional). Decoration is up to your creativity.
    Step 4 :
    Guava Whipping Cream Preparation:
    In a mixing bowl, add heavy whipping cream and start whisking by slowly add powdered sugar. Once the cream thickens add guava puree and vanilla extract and whisk until it reaches soft peaks.
    Guava Cake Decoration :
    You can decorate in many ways. The one shown in the video is my preferred way. It is up to your preference and creativity. If you try, please post photos.
