Yep, you should _never_ rub your eyes if you have glass, silicates or (particularly) pumice ash in them as the microscopic shards will cut up your eyes a treat. As the safety guy here demonstrates, the thing to use is compressed air to blow away the offending debris. The compressed air that comes in cans for the cleaning of computers, camera gear and sensitive electronic equipment and camera lenses that is - I wouldn't recommend using the local garage tyre pump on your eyes, that could end in tears...

It just doesn't feel right. They went from a homegrown, backyard production to these corporate, cookie cutter type videos. Anyone can make these they have way less personality.
I think the main issue people have is that they’re presentation is a bit more wooden, but in a recent video on the second channel Gav explained why and I think with that added context it makes perfect sense.
I love this show. Different from your normal stuff, but still has the slow mo guys style. Just has a bigger budget feel. Can't complain about daily videos.

Can't help feeling that if Gav was behind the camera we would be looking at closeups of a knee piercing through the sugar glass at many many times the framerate instead of this run-of-the-mill slowmotion shots.
too be fair, dont they have huge amount of episodes to air? Im sure it takes alot of time to film and set up each one. they probably didnt have time to get close ups of everything.

In this case, they are following a theme, they have a certain amount they have already planned to cover. It might not be as detailed but as long as they are having fun and their videos are still entertaining, I'm happy with it.
